Also wanted to let everyone know after much thought, I called Ryan and went with the Progressive shock - as with only 3mm difference and more adjustability - it's well worth the $500 to save my fragile spine and avoid another tragic ending like taking a $4.5K hit on my Triumph Tiger only 6 months into buying it.

Ryan took my weight so the spring can be set accordingly. Special thanks for Jay in Milpitas reaching out on the matter - much appreciated!

Now, we wait until the bikes can come off the boat and get built up and shipped out to all of us anxiously awaiting their arrival at our doorsteps.

Best,

Vic

Good call, Vic! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the shock (and the RX3 for that matter) once they are delivered to you. Hopefully the EPA checks will be quick since the RX3 passed emissions testing with flying colors last year) and you and all the 2016 owners will receive the bike shortly!

You were wise to order the Progressive shock, Vic. I hope your bike is delivered soon.

I look forward to hearing your impressions of the progressive shock - especially as it seems we are at similar inseam lengths

Ryan can be trusted to keep matters confidential.

It's not how much cargo you carry, it's how well you pack it and how it's distributed.

Amen. A few extra, strategically placed pounds only enhance the package.

Hello Victoria

I was reading through some of the older posts Congrats on your new RX3 purchase. My wife is 5'2" with a 29" inseam we purchased the seat concepts seat, the lowering link, did the 1/2" drop on the front forks, and adjusted the pre-load a bit on the rear shock. She can get the balls of both her feet flat on the ground with these adjustments. I don't think we can get it down to both heals but she is very happy with the feel of the bike now and the cursing has subsided.

On a side note I purchased a Tiger Explorer XC a few months before we found the RX3's and just returned from Big Bend Texas 1600 miles round trip. I was seconds from buying a White 800 XC when I spotted the 1200 in the corner of the room in flat green and it spoke to me. We had looked at the Tiger 800 for my wife but she said it was too heavy for her and kept looking for lighter options. The RX3 is perfect for her and she is very happy with it.

These pics are our first trip on the RX3 before the adjustments. I don't have any of her on it after the adjustments because she wont stay still long enough to get a shot. I will try to get pics this weekend of her feet to illustrate and upload.
