No fab work needed; just use a clamp around the muffler, and bolt it to a convenient hole on the frame. I might even have a spare clamp.

I think I just need to use a stainless hose clamp. Keeps with the theme. I have some aluminum stock that I could bend too.

For sake of budget, I may try to refresh and use the kazuma 108cc engine.

Why not? It could be temporary power until you find a 125 for cheap or free. Plus, you'd get electric start.
BTW, I'll get that exhaust pipe and muffler wrapped and shipped soon.

Ok, let me know the cost so I can reimburse you.
I think that i just need to adjust the valves and clean the carb on this engine. It was a runner, but I have not used it. Not sure I will use the electric start. Not hard to kick this.

Nope this one is not siezed. I kicked it over. Weak compression, but it may be a stuck valve.

We're gonna need a Rat Ride sub-forum soon!
It snowed last night and killed my riding for at least a week. I need another project! Had to leave Gold Wing at home and drive SLOWDOC the 4X4 Ranger to work today.

The 90 won't be the donar. It has its own life to live and already has rat status with the suzuki front fender and honda rear fender.
The kazuma 110 will be the donar choice for now. Still not sure, but at least will be used for mock up chores. Looks like building a honda based big bore/stroker motor for it may be a decent possibility. 8) I am sure SLOWDOC appreciated the exercise this morning.

I misunderstood which engine fired up for you. When you say stroker, do you plan on a bigger throw crank for the 110? Is that cost effective? It would seem to be easier and faster to just bolt in a cheap 125.

well, after the 110 transplant I may build up a honda bottom end with so go fast parts or take the lifan 125 with a manual clutch and put so go faster parts on it. There is alot out there for these in the cam, valves, piston department. Also 5 speed transmissions.
Looks like some have taken these horizontals up into the 180-190cc department with DOHC heads and more. So that is all down the road, but the 110 could be freshened up for about $100 and brought up to about a 117cc engine.

You must start a new thread when you begin. I'll wait here.

I won't be getting past about 150cc. It gets cost prohibitive past that point. Lots of money for short life span. I don't think they would last more than a 1000 miles without a failure. I believe a 184cc engine to cost upwards of $3K.
