I think we will start making some more progress next week. My parents will be here and parts will start moving.

Thinking that another Official Chinarider Truck may be in order for Briana. Looking at a few possible fixer uppers for when she can start driving in a year or so.

I think we will look for one along this line. 1998 model. Need to get into a more recent/safety improved model. So we will look for an example that is challenged and at a good price.

The extended cabs are really handy. Which motor are you thinking of?

Probably a 3.0L auto. Seems to be the most common in the extended cab models. I want enough to tow a small trailer yet. If I get an automatic everyone can drive it.

Son of Weldangrind's 3.0 has been a good soldier. It's time for valve stem seals, but it's otherwise a good runner with 375000km on the clock. Stay away from the A4OD transmission if you have a choice. The best option is the M5OD, and standard transmission driving lessons for Briana.

I would prefer a manual if we can find one.

It's good for Briana to learn how to drive a manual transmission. However, I don't know if I would want to be the one teaching her.

Since the tires on the van were at least 13 years old I swapped them around. Van looks better with these wheels. Just need to find a matching one to complete the set.

The wheels make it look much newer. It had a set of 70s era hubcaps with one missing.

The running boards have really protected the rockers. Nice shape.

I think we will start prepping the engine this week.

Possible ranger project. http://tulsa.craigslist.org/cto/4169024466.html Maybe if we can raise some funds.

I bet you can grab it for $500.00. Any idea which motor it has?
