That's awesome, glad it was an easy registration for you.. In Florida, id say the 17T would probably work very well opposed to here in VA, there's mountain passes and alot of windy hilly roads to contend with...
I think the deceptive thing now that i think of it is that everywhere its listed for sale it says fast with speeds up to 65 mph +... maybe that the case with an 80 pound rider with stock gearing... it should really say 50+ depending on rider weight

To those folks that maybe interested I noticed that the Storm 150 DLX is available at XProUSA. They have them in stock all colors and who knows what other bikes that may have came at the same time Just a heads-up…

Yup. Mike Festiva (youtube) has extensive build/reviews on this amazing value. Adult sized with a real swingarm, oil cooler (!), inverted forks (!), folding short shifter, alloy bearclaw footpegs, street legal setup, and braided SS brake lines! So it has 16"/19" wheels, well for $1000 plus shipping, it's nice.

I should snag one but we have long term plans and not currently in big spending mode like some of our members I'd join the bike or two a month club, but currently not quite at the bike a year level for at least another year!

I bought the lime green one. I requested that the MCO say “motorcycle”. It’s going to be fun!

Hi guys, just thought I would post that I changed the front sprocket from 14 to 16 and it seems like it’s going to be about right! Dusman, that was the color I wanted, but got the red and like that too! Your going to enjoy the bike and have fun! Ps the chain was long enough for the sprocket change

Nice! I went ahead and purchased a 16T front sprocket and an RK chain with 120 links per Mike Festiva’s video. From what I’ve heard, it seems that the 16T will be the sweet spot indeed. I know that with my kid’s 125cc pit bike, 1st gear is geared so low it’s almost useless, even in the woods….at least for me (I’m 175lbs). Thanks for the input!

I recently saw a video of a guy with a dual sport bike like this, weighing in at only 180lbs. Is amazing! 70lbs lighter than my Vader 150.

His had an all aluminum frame, with only accessories and swingarm in steel.

How is ride comfort on this for long rides, and are there any street tires for this?
I might consider this as a third bike.
Just not too fond of most of these bikes mufflers, they're way too loud...

Just not too fond of most of these bikes mufflers, they're way too loud...
This bike excels at 2 things, being a very local run around bike, ie roads up to 45mph, backyard, trails.. and at being a bike for a beginner to learn on since it's light and a bit lower seat height.. anything else and you need to steps up to the 250s

So the seat isn't comfortable, even if you remove the knobbies and put street tires on it?

It's a pretty stiff dirtbike style seat, not the most comfortable.. if there was a comfort seat option out there I'd say go for that for distance riding otherwise flat ass syndrome will be a symptom

just ordered my x-pro storm dlx 150. $1425.85 including a helmet. already preordered a 17t front sprocket. will update once i put it together and run it for a bit. hopefully they deliver it because im way out in the sticks and the road to my house aint all that great

The 17T will work fine but if you have any hills, it will present a challenge.. 16T seems to be the sweet spot and at approx $5 per sprocket, easy to afford multiple to swap out as needed

If your shipping company is R+L Carriers, you can call their local shipping terminal that your bike will be shipping out from and ask to pick it up. You can look on their website and find your local terminal: https://www2.rlcarriers.com/
Just go under “shipment tracing” and type in your Pro Number and it should give you the tracking info.
They have been very easy to work with.

I ordered my Storm 150 DLX from Powersports Max, took about seven business days to reach me in Tampa, Florida. Most of that time it sat in the carriers local warehouse waiting for a truck to load and deliver it. Received it in great condition, still in the process of going over it and assembling but the heat in my garage is making that difficult. When I have time to work on it, it's 90 degrees even with a drum fan going. Waiting on an amended MSO saying "motorcycle" instead of "off-road motorcycle" so I can register it on the road here.



I have put a 16 tooth front sprocket on it, that shifter from Mike's video and I have some Honda clutch springs for it too. Waiting on my knock off Yosh MJN carb to mount that up.

She’s arrived!

I’m amazed at how well MaxPro/XPro packages these things and how good a job R+L Carriers did getting it to me birthmark free. I too have the aftermarket shifter recommended by Mike Festiva. I also purchased an RK natural chain (120 links) and a 16 tooth countersprocket. Interestingly, the rear wheel bearings were well greased and the front wheel bearings were bone dry. Thus, I repacked them and then tightened the spokes. This weekend I’ll adjust the valves, change to Rotella T4, do a few heat cycles and an initial break-in, then I’ll probably balance the wheels.
