If you need a lower rear motor mount bolt for a lifan gy5 and have a hard time finding one, check at a local Link Belt dealer (heavy equipment). I got a link-belt battery bolt.
The bolt from link belt is 10mm, where as the hole is about 10.4 mm so it is a pretty close fit, considering the original was very loose. The bolt is maybe an inch too long so it will need shortening, but it is gold and has 8 on the head so I am guessing is grade 8, and the only place I found a bolt big enough.

This is how the parts thread works. Let's say you need a part that's not already linked (or at this point has a broken link). You search the internet or your local bike shop and find the part. You then come back and share the information in the parts thread with the rest of the group and the thread gets updated at the top of page 1. If you post the part in a separate thread titled "Check it out!!!!Thingamajiggy I found for my bike, etc" and then don't update the parts thread with a post and link.....well it doesn't show up in the parts thread. Thanks, Jason

Heres one if you need peg holders .....the peg holders perfectly match a 77 xl100. and if someone wants to match parts by pics here is a web site you can search microfiche scans for the parts match
http://www.daytonafunmachines.com/fiche_select.asp i have found quite a few matches for my Diamo maybe we can all work together and make a matching fiche chart sticky with part #'s. but there are 100's of bikes just honda on there has 1959 thru to 2008 8O and every bike they made so it will take alot of time to match fiche to parts .... Just a thought, just trying to help |

Clutch Springs
Clutch was slipping when cold in 3rd and 4th with 17 / 36 (great on the highway). Ordered the springs from Whitneys. Here are photos....
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/S...&searchbtn.y=7 I could squeeze the factoy springs about 1/8 of an inch with one hand, not the new ones. Slips no more, but OMG 4 to 5 times as hard to pull on the clutch lever. If they don't get easier I may go to 1/2 and 1/2 in the future. About 15.00 with shipping. |
