I bet you can get one from CSC. The TT is the same.....if RPS can't help you directly.

Yeah no joke, ended up walking the bike down the road haha I was so mad, I was on my way to get it inspected for registration. Damn my cockiness lol

Well I ordered another LED tail light off of ebay, and this one does not have inegrated turn signals. The issue is, the brake light works, but when the running lights are on, neither work. Do you guys think a relay would fix this? I really don't want to buy a new assembly from RPS, they want $125 for the tail light/housing/license plate light. I bought that LED tail light on eBay for $14

Some pics of the bike that I promised.

What did you do with the Ground Wire with the new LED brake light? Sometimes you need to ground straight to the frame for a 'proper ground' to get the LEDs to work right... if that doesn't work I will have to dig into what all else I did with a similar LED Tail Light to get it working on the 99 Kawasaki

I soldered the stock harness to the loom on the LED tail light. I'll try that grounding method. But it's weird because the brake works fine but when the running lights are on, niether running or brake work.

I'll try that when I get back into town.

Why is it so cheap compared to RPS? Move more volume in parts?

I'll give it a look, $40 for everything is great. I think that tail light is LED too, thanks guys, I forgot about the TT250 and it's similarities. Are all parts compatible with the hawk? I would consider replacing the triple tree and forks.

the TT250 tail light is not LED, but, the turn signals are (and expensive).

Yeah I see it now, they sell a bulb for it. I already put some LED turn signals on my bike, they were like $12 total for 4. Still, $40 for all 3 parts is great compared to $125.

Part #1 from your link survived my mess up, that's why I only needed 3.

Doesn't matter now, I got the LED tail light to work. I ran RUNNING from the license plate light +Brown, BRAKE is Green w/ yellow stripe on tail light harness, and then I grounded the tail light to the frame.

It works perfect, I believe this should also work with integrated turn signal tail lights. It looks really good too. Took me about 3 hours of work; made a bracket, and wired it. I'll post pics later.

Thanks for all the help so far guys.

Here's what that tail light looks like. It's kind of small but works great.

Hopefully it won't happen again.

Thumbs Up

You know I got one of those(similar) , in addition to my existing tail. And I had the same prob finding the correct wires. Did a search and figured it out. I wanted all the lights possible if I was going to be on the street.

You were doing wheelies right?

Yep, walked her down the street. It was pretty funny, no damage other than the tail light being trashed.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a "Chain tensioner plate?" The plate that's on the back of the swing arm to pull the wheel back farther? Thanks.

Point and click to csc motorcycles . I bet it will work

Like the time I ran out of gas 1/4 mile from the gas station , at the bottom of the freeking hill

If only the plate needed I bet a person could go the home Depot and find that bar stock steel and make it work just by drilling a hole. Would be a helluva of a lot stronger too.
