Thought I recognized that motor in that 3 wheeler.
S&S X-Wedge. They have yet to make it truly mainstream. It's their attempt to get away from the HD Evo clone, they've been so successful with. So far, the reports have been fair-good. http://www.sscycle.com/feature/featureview.php?s_id=17

Was looking thru a few of my old pics and had to scan these of my first car, 1987 Hyundai Excel, if i remember correctly i put 100K on that poor car and i'm pretty sure the back tires were never changed while i had it, i think i went thru 6 sets of fronts though, lol, good lil car for the 5 years i beat the crap out of it, gotta love the fact that it came with a Mikuni carb.

Impressive smoke show from a Hyundai! Heck, I don't think the car I'm driving now could pull that off!

In my Vette that amount of smoke would set me back $25 in Continental rubber and $5 in gas.
Worth it, though! 8)

It looks like your e-brake worked well.

Those were GREAT little cars, especially for how inexpensive they were and they really put Hyundai on the map. Sold a stockyard full here in the PRK. Mitsubishi under the hood. Wrenched on quite a few.

Yep, the pony's were crap with the points ignition but the excel was quite good, i only did a clutch at 80k and a timing belt at 90k, i had to weld the muffler back on numerous times as we used to baja with it in the gravel pit behind the old shop i used to be at, lots of fun, good on gas and i had a rocking stereo system in it.
I will admit i had to put a bit of oil down for that smoke show as burnout's in 1st gear weren't cutting it, that was a 2nd gear burnout in the pics, here's the small puddle of oil and lots o rubber down. |

I had one in Hawaii - It was my Island car - NO Radio - NO Power nothing - No Air Conditioning. If I wanted AIR I'd crank the windows down and go like Hell! - lmao great old cars - Ran forever. Drove mine across the US with no problems Except for the BIG Luggage box I mounted on the roof - After 90mph she wanted to take off like an air plane - you could actually feel the front engine getting lighter! Crazy!

What part is that, Cheesy?
Man if there's any benefit to living in a desert it's no poison ivy. Poison snakes though...

Doc-That is the remains of special sliding clutch for a Sturmey Archer AW 3 speed hub. I have used these for years in my AW hubs that are converted to 2 speed fixed gear hubs without a problem. The forces on the clutch are much greater with the fixed gear hubs than on freewheel hubs. That said, this particular clutch, in a freewheel hub, didn't last 50 miles. :( This happened to my daughters bike.
I sent pics of the clutch to the guy who makes them for me and spoke with him over the phone this morning and we are both of the mind that there was either a flaw in that hunk o' A2 steel or the tight tolerances in the clutch and the sloppy loose tolerances in the later AW hubs didn't like each other.

Maybe your engine produces too much torque? Maybe you are too strong? It looks like Lance Armstrong's doping/steroid use has caught up with him so maybe you can get his slot for the next Tour de' France?

P.S. Lance Armstrong is innocent, until proven guilty. However, it certainly would not surprise me if we were blood doping, and/or using steroids. Personally, I don't like the guy; I think he's crooked. Spud

Very true, my bad. :( But I bet... His treatment of his ex wife and family do point to a lack of character however. Uhhh...the part failed on his daughter's bike, Doc. Girls have torque too, Brother Spud. 8)
