When I wore out the bicycle tires I put some pit bike tires on it. Don't know if that was necessary.

Couldn't get the stock mirrors on my DF250RTG to work with my wide body so added some bar end mirrors. Had the same issue with my previous DF250RTG so got the same mirrors.

Did a speedometer test with my cell phone speedometer app. Not too bad as the bike speedometer showed 50 MPH and the app showed 47 MPH.
She moves just fine.

I was getting an invalid VIN on my Geico insurance policy. The VIN was correct.
I had Geico change the model number to DF250RTD and that got rid of the incorrect VIN warning.

Has the DF250RTD been discontinued?

Also reading the info on the bike's frame the air pressure is supposed to be 225 KPA (32 PSI) front and 280 KPA (40 PSI) rear which seems kinda high.

Took a ride out to Sanibel Island to check up on a fence I put up to keep out the idiots that were making big holes in our now lot. Seems to be working, knock on wood.
Kinda odd but the speedometer is only off 2 MPH at 60 MPH according to my speedometer app on my cell phone which indicated 58 MPH. At lower speeds the speedometer is off by 10% or more.
Anyway I am very happy with the performance of the stock bike. After I break her in I will run her up to top speed,

I want to paint the chrome black. I have sanded the chrome. Any suggestions for prep and brand of paint will be appreciated.

Well guys I would like to say that i have pics and stuff to show ya of my new df250rtg. But so far its been a night mare it came jacked up in shipping looks like forklift caught it . So 3 turn signals , a headlight, a combo switch, and probably another headlight later and ill be ready to get it to my house to get street legal. Whoever assembled it did a absolutely horrible job. They did not put any locknuts or washer on the hardware but yet my new lights came with locknuts and washers. Ill be going over the frame and bolts with with a fine tooth comb now. At this point im deep into time on the bike due to all the back an forth with Venom Motorsports. They are pretty good at helping . I was upset this time though the headlight bright wire had a dead short which cuased it to burn and smoke out. No more cheap crap ill get my own i had to modifyy the one they sent to fit anyways. Now waiting on a new combo switch it was stripped lol. So my advice spend the extra and get the Lifan or pray ya dont get a lemon lol the motor seems strong enough .

flatlandsouth82,
Sorry to hear about the shipping damage to your motorcycle.

I would have refused to accept the delivery.

I have had at least eight Chinese bikes and scooters delivered to me over the years without any damage. I must be lucky as all my Dong Fang motorcycles have been good.

I should have it was a messed up deal it was supposed to be doorstep delivery and the trucker called me and i had to drive my own vehicle to pick it up . Just so happened that i missed the two fork holes . Im mad at myself i reported the damage to the shipper and to Venom. There hasnt been one thing not messed up about the process so far.
