BlackBike the funny thing was both Quads came with the tank to carb line not hooked up. At least I didn't do the same with the second one.....
Got the Sexy Black Quad together over the weekend. Even changed the gear lube in both with 80/90 Synthetic for longevity. Design flaw for both for draining fluids with a cross-member under gear drain and exhaust pipe directly under oil drain. Now I am playing the waiting game for the tags. May have to find a field close by for a test in the dirt. Anyone have break-in suggestions?

Waiting for the Temp Tags, should be here today or tomorrow. May get a chance to take them on some trail runs on Sunday.
2LZ gave me good advice on ensuring the motor mounts are tight to keep the vibration down. Any other thoughts from the pros before we hit the trail?

Break in suggestions: I'd say nothing over 5000 rpms for 500 miles but since you have no gauges.....don't over-rev it and vary the throttle a lot. No sustained freeway speeds....not that that's a problem on a quad.
Then change the oil and adjust the valves. BTW, NICE stable you have there!

License Sticker is what I was referring to. Not sure where the term "tags" came from but its what I use. I think its an old Police term.
I do NOT want to get caught here in Kalifornia without tags affixed to the quads. I would probably end up behind bars........

Mrs. Swampy looks great on the brilliant blue quad! If she can handle the Grizzly, the 150 GY6 should be a piece-o-cake for her!

For off-road bikes and quads here you need a license sticker vertically affixed to your left front fork, no more than 2 inches from the bottom, facing forward, square to the forks and at all times clean! (I may have made some of that up……) Here is what it looks like. On road bikes have a "real" plate, this is for off road only.

Just like a boat sticker. It's valid for two years than you pony up more cash for two more. One good thing that has come out of the $$$ collected is they have built staging areas in the National Forests to load/unload your quads and bikes and parking lots for your rigs. They also maintain ORV (Off Road Vehicle) areas near metropolitan areas so you have a place close by to ride.
