Thanks for that initial review. Now waiting for some long term impressions. Where are the muddy tire pics?
The rear suspension seems to plague most of the china bikes. I supposed its hard to build a good shock for cheap. Allen

I guess I'm lucky. So far, he's had everything I've wanted there with the exception of a different pipe. The FMF Turbine Core 2 was easy enough to order though, so no biggy. You'll like it. It stretched each gear out far more 'usable' but first gear can still climb a tree. I thought about maybe going a little more with the rear sprocket but with how vertical things are here....I'm sticking with it 'as is'. The GY5's a 'dirt only' bike here anyway. No pavement allowed. Dang PRK.

Ordered 17, and 18 tooth countershaft sprockets today. Hopefully they will arrive quickly so I can test them out, and offer more insight. I will be looking for a good place for an off-road review, and some mud covered photos.
Also, I spoke with Tim today and he had about 50 of these bikes a few short weeks ago. He is now down to about 10 left, so just a heads up to anyone thinking about buying one.

Wow. Looks like I won't be getting one. He will be sold out soon.

Seeing as this is the second model Tim has had I think that another one will be around the corner.

Other than the engine, it appears that many parts on the Roketa DB-06 will fit the Hensim 250 Enduro.
http://www.roketa.com/product/7/0/2419.shtml http://www.roketa.com/product/produc...D=0&proID=2419 However, Roketa was recently fined stiffly for the improper importation of vehicles into the PRK (People's Republic of Kalifornia). :( http://dealernewsblog.com/2010/03/15...-certificates/ I don't know how this fine will affect Roketa's ability to do business; the whole process could drag on for years in the Kalifornia court system. There was something I read a few months ago that all, or almost all, 50cc scooters made in China were not US legal--probably an importer used fake EPA certificates or maybe it was Roketa--now they're caught again?!
As far as the sprockets go, Pitster Pro uses 38r and 14f on their XTR 250 enduro and motard, but not sure how/if this will help you as no one on Chinariders seems to have bought one to review, and the two guys on Youtube from the US who have posted videos of their XTR's just filmed them idling with promises of more videos--over a year ago!! 8O ; but this might be a good basis. |

hensim
that is great,I think the 17 will be plenty to get the rpms and cruising speed where you want it.It is also alot cheaper than changing the rear.Hope you have enough room to clear the case.
