I like it! It looks like it has a separate oil cooler, rather than using the frame tube, XR style.

Maybe, but that system is very reliable. Doesn't your bike use something similar?

The stock exhaust header worked fine, but it rusted, and was difficult to clean when covered with baked mud. I much prefer the easier maintenance afforded from a stainless steel, exhaust header. However, it seems many bikes, if not most bikes, are not equipped with a stainless steel, exhaust headers, since manufacturers wish to cut costs, and maximize profits. Spud

Sorry, I was still talking about the oil cooler lines, and I was referring to the BRP. I realize now that you were responding to my stainless header question.
Since we're on that, does your BRP use the frame to cool oil, or does it have a separate oil cooler?

Yes, my Honda XR650L has a dry sump engine. External lines feed an oil reservoir in the frame which also acts to cool the oil outside the engine. However, unlike the XR250R and XR400R, my XR650L does not have an oil cooler. Honda decided to pinch pennies on the XR650L, and supplied the bike with air scoops, instead of an oil cooler. Aftermarket fuel tanks don't support the stock air scoops, so XR650L motorcycles have been know to overheat when run at high rpms for extended periods of time on limited access highways. :( I really like the external oil cooler on the XRE300. I intend to add an oil cooler to my XR650L. Spud
