Just like these new cars and trucks with an oil life display. I don't care what that computer says that oil is getting changed every 3000 miles regardless. It has always worked for me. My little gas sippin buggy has 225K on the clock, doesn't use oil, and STILL gets 31mpg. And on an air cooled motor that shares oil with a wet clutch, I'll change it more often than I probably could.

Everyone knows that Shell still produces "API SF" oils (1988 and older) depending on where you live in the world and what bottle/type of oil you buy right?... so anyone saying "10W30 Shell" is of "high quality oil" can be a great stretch of the truth

Good read! Now I'm waiting on part two!

I felt the same when I tore down Mrs 2LZ TT. I was really surprised at how far the CB has come just in the last five years, regarding built quality, beefing things up and fit and finish.

Back on Commute duty. 36F this morning and wintery mix, but actually more rain.

Bike started after about a week standing with no problem, but needed to warm a while on half choke before the engine would even consider a bit of throttle.

The bike was once again flawless on a shitty road surface.

Nice picture . It's been Dry and mild here so far and looks like it will be until the middle of next week. We are going spend Saturday at the spillway getting in some off road action. I bought my daughter a camera for Christmas so i'll try to get some videos.

It's a conspiracy. There's no doubt in my mind now.

It rains or snows from Friday to Monday....and is sunny Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. More rain this weekend.

It's a conspiracy, I tell ya.......... Where's my ammo?

The amount of rain here has been an absolute drag, it really has. More than double last year, and an inch more than the year before that.

Same here. It's been like that for the pass two months minus the snow lol but cold and windy. But this week has been awesome and will stay till at least middle of next week. Damn cold killed my battery on the Coolster so have to pick one up before the weekend. I guess I'm lucky it lasted two years. I keep a HF solar charger hooked up to it to maintain it.

Sure! They're in different parking spots at the moment. I'm going to give both a clean over the new year so I'll take a group photo. Meantime, here's the Ninja from one of my many weekend runs in Summer:

Mods:
  • Ebay special short levers
  • Leo Vince slip-on
  • Area-P (Dynojet rebadged) fuel controller
  • Zero Gravity Corsa windscreen

They're terrific bikes. I use mine pretty much every day, if the weather is good enough.
