Only problem is the programable CDI is DC which means you will have to convert everything from AC to DC system.
why would I not eant to advance the ignition timing? woulsnt a pefoamnce increase be had, especially at higher rpms where the advance stops?

What electrical system does the hawk run? how exactly wokuld i check, I have a meter. I saw the same cdi but with AC.

The reason you don't want to advance the timing is because of the high compression ratio you now have. The higher compression ratio lowers the flash point of the fuel mixture so it will ignite sooner. Basicly you already advanced the time it will ignite. This is why you need to run a higher octane fuel that has a higher flash point so you don't have detonation. Aka knock.
The A.C. adjustable CDI I think you are taking about only adjust timing equally across the entire rpm range. So if you increase the timing at the lower rpm the motor will be harder to start.
A programmable cdi is tuned via laptop with a tuning program. You can manually set the time exactly were you want it throughout the entire rpm range.
The Hawk run an A.C. system.

If you search on here you will find a few people have tried the performance CDI and proved they don't work well on the hawk.

What about this a.c. cdi?

https://transmic.net/2017/12/29/ac-cdi-v9/

It is programmable and about the same cost as the dc one you found. I think the hawk would get alot out of good ignition timing in the upper rpm range. I'll keep in mind not to advance too much.

The hawk charging system is DC. The ignition system is AC and powered by the stator and not from the DC charging system.
