The socket barely fit because of that hangover on the plate. The stock plug boot will fit with that plate but I changed my stock spark plug boot and it wouldn't fit without some modifying to the rubber top on boot.

But the plate leaks still.

Installed a new shock, made a video.
Love the shock it feels so much better, a lot more stiffer.

Is it possible to easy out the broken bolt, drill up 1 size, tap, chase threads then heli coil? then you have a 2nd head ready for port, polish, valve job etc. Will having the air filter out in the breeze create too much turbulence? or can one of those vortex angled vane deals help spin in MO POWER!!!???

The part I have been waiting for to install my rear shock is due in middle to end of this coming week, so I am about to have to do this same thing, man I hate having to strip all the plastics off but aint no way around it. I guess I'm dreading it because while I have them all off I have a lot of other things I need to do , my other fork brace is also showing about to be delivered so i am going to have to do the oil cooler install, i have a new plug wire to put on, take all the emissions off and replace all the fuel lines, and also install the carb spinner, carb, and new air filter plus of course the rear shock and new mud guard . I'm gettin' tired just thinkin' about it lmao!

The shock is so much better, you will see! Ya i feel you on taking plastic off. I had the shock for awhile now but i was waiting to install it till i got my new oil cooler in for china, taking forever so i said fk it and Installed the shock. So i'm going to have to take off plastics again soon for the cooler hopefully last time for awhile. But i'm pretty fast now at taking the plastics off, but i don't have as much as the Vader.

Oh i ordered one of those fork braces, ill prob get it in 7 month, what way is front?

As with most parts ordered from China ,it came with ZERO instructions.,but when you get it you will see that it is "angled" so that there really isn't but one way it will fit so it's pretty fool proof, just fit it so you are tightening the screws from the top and you'll be good to go .



I finally got my GoPro ( hopefully) sorted out so if it doesn't pour down the rain today I'll try to put up a video and show how i have mine oriented,if it does rain i'll try to at least run out there and snap a pic with that low resolution Kindle Fire and post that .

Okays here are a couple of shots of how my Fork Brace is installed .

Did you slide it down as low to the fender as you could? If you look at the forks ,you will see they are in a V ,meaning they are a larger diameter up nearer the headlight than they are down near the fender - they aren't " straight" if you get what i mean from end to end. I had the same issue when i tried to use my second one as mounts for my oil cooler radiator up high, they too small, but it fits perfectly down low near the fender, that's likely what it is.
If it was too small even down low near fender then thats a new one on me, mine went right on.

Yea all the way down the folks still didn't fit, I had to grind the insides of the plates that go around the forks a lot and still didn't fit perfect, had to get longer top blots also. and tried it in all directions... i think the hellcat forks are a bit bigger.

New oil cooler came out great, no oil leaks now and looks better

That sucks that it didnt fit. I ordered one just like it primarly to use as a fender mount, I'll probably have to modify mine too.

Till me about it! If you are going to put it up higher on the fork, you will need to do a far mount of grinding. Unless i got a irregular/bad one but honestly don't think so. I think i'm going to grind more to fit better but i need a dremel. I used a file, took forever....Looks cool thought.

Yeah mang that new oil cooler looks hawt , i particularly like the hoses with those heat guard spring wrap.,makes it look trick !
I guess the fork brace fit variation ought not surprise us much what with these being China bikes as well as the brace coming from China ,the Bike manufacturers buy parts from various Suppliers even for the same piece and pretty much use whatever is available / cheap atm so there is a lot of variation ,even on the same model from same maker ,learning to "make it work" is part of owning a China bike to some degree but hell I don't mind that's part of what made me choose one, building and tinkering

are what i like to do as much as riding !
