That's not shouldn't happen in Canada, since our bikes are not supposed to have headlight on/off switches. That said, Son of Weldangrind and I were working on a TS250 late last night, and it has a headlight switch. Odd.

Yup, I've been asked twice in random checkstops on my Shadow... Funny part is, I think the Shadow was one of the quietest bikes I've ever owned, why would they even ask? Unless they were just trying to make conversation for making the poor biker drag out his insurance and registration papers . One guy even checked to see the factory stamp on it though! This was way before the bike noise legislation came out as well.
Noise legislation? Since when? Things have really changed since I left Alberta.
Well, noise bylaw would be better put I guess... It's got all the Hardley guys up in arms... http://www.edmontonpolice.ca/Traffic...fficNoise.aspx

They have random checkstops in Edmonton on occasion where they test all bikes that come through. I think it only applies to Edmonton though as we have plenty of noisy bikes around here and I've never heard of our detachment giving tickets.

Could be an American imported bike?

Not if it has a metric speedometer and a TC sticker.

Had the Konker out bombing around town... That thing is an absolute hoot! Lol, dunno why I ever sold it but I'm really glad to have it back . Can't wait to do a little trail riding but were in shutdown frenzy at work so I'm not getting much time off. Still a riot to sneak out for an hour though, it's so light! 8)

I'm very glad the Konker returned to your stable, Stew! I'm sure the Konker is also glad to be receiving some love once again.

Great news! Do you plan to inspect the slow jet to see if it improves?

I'm hoping the Seafoam will clean it out without me tearing it apart, I haven't really had a lot of runtime on it yet since i put it in. If it doesn't clear up totally though I will be tearing the carb apart to have a peek because it's definitely not the same as it was when I sold it... Idles perfect even off choke but as soon as you touch the throttle it stumbles, especially when letting out the clutch. But once it's good and warm (maybe 10 mins runtime?) it seems to run and ride fine. Fingers crossed for the Seafoam fix!

On a side note it turned over 500 kilometers last night... Lol, gonna take me a while to catch Spuds Zong!

Perhaps the pilot mixture screw needs a tweak.

Could be, I'm going to see if the Seafoam helps before I mess with it though. It was running perfect until it sat for the winter (in a heated garage).

I have the Actionpacker thing covered as well. I stopped at our local Tru Value Macleods and they can order me in the 8 gal version. Should be in next Thursday . Little pricier than in the States, I think it's about $36. Still a darn sight cheaper than anything else I can find though, well, other than a milk crate

Sounds lean off idle. Tweak of the screw should help. I don't recall which way to turn it though.

I think it's counterclockwise. Not positive myself though, been a while since I was messing around with the ATV carbs...

Counterclockwise increases the fuel flow on a four stroke and it increases the air flow on a two stroke. If you need to back the screw out more than two turns, your slow jet is either blocked or too small.
