Guess I had backed it out too far or perhaps forgot to install the spring when I modded that PZ30..
Anyway, she's running great with the new carb and I have the 20 pilot that it came with, needle at 2nd position from bottom (1 step down from middle) and replaced the main with a 120.. I've got close to 400 miles now and soon to change oil again at 500 and be done with break-in.. Then I'll see how high I can wind her out and what speed I can comfortably cruise at on the 55mph roads.
Glad to hear your carb issues are solved and thanks for the jetting info. IMO if you're turning the a/f screw farther than 3 full turns you need a larger pilot jet. Another tip is to remove the a/f spring under the screw and stretch the spring a little to provide more tension on the screw as you properly adjust to find idle and response setting. And you won't lose the a/f screw when tuning.

Hi everyone I am new to this site and ended up here because I am very interested in the X-Pro Titan DLX 250 for my first bike. Before I order I would like to have all my mods ordered so I can put it all together at once. This thread seems to have all the titan experts on it so I was wondering if I could get some help.

Here are a few questions:
I live in Colorado and intend on riding at higher elevations (6000'-9000'), would a Nibbi performance PE30 carb fit in the bike and is it the correct size? also what are your jet kit recommendations.

Also what other Mods should I plan on ordering initially?

Thanks for all the help.

Lee

Welcome to the club! You made a great choice and am sure will love the bike, its an absolute steal at the current price (bought mine from PowersportsMax) and will do everything you ask of it..
With regard to your questions.. the PE30 may be overkill for a stock bike. I have the PE30 on my Brozz 250 but you can see in my signature that i've done several mods to it.. I can personally vouch for the VM26 to work very well as a replacement for the stock PZ30. I have it jetted currently with original pilot, needle at the second position up from bottom and a 120 main and am at 700 feet so this may not be the best jetting for you..
As far as mod list i would suggest these:

VM26 Carb:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Handguards
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DXVKMVJ...roduct_details

Rev Box CDI (eliminates rev limit and slightly advances timing)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z8R92YT...roduct_details

Spoke wrench
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NOTMK5M...roduct_details

NGK Iridium Plug
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CSGWZC...roduct_details

Hope this helps and be sure to post up a new thread once you get it.. the more info we share the better

Awesome thank you for all the help. I will definitely keep you informed on how the process goes.

Is there a downside with running that bigger carb? I like the look of it and the adjustments look easier to make. Also it may give me more running room if I decide to make more mods in the future?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...2P82LHDI&psc=1

If there is a downside I definitely will go with the VM26. Did you have to do anything special to fit it?

On a stock engine, the PE28 will be a better match. Unless you plan on porting the head for more flow, the PE30 will be harder to tune due to lack of air flow.

mmmm ok so my debacle worsens. ok so the PE28 from nibbi is below;

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._1?smid=&psc=1

Will I see any performance benefit if I go with the Nibbi performance PE28 vs any of the other PE28 vs the VM26?

So here are my options so far;
VM26
Nibbi performance PE30
Nibbi performance PE28

I uh.. can't seem to find an adapter for those carbs on this bike. The angle of the carb is the opposite from the Hawk engines. If you're sitting on the bike, the carb sits off to the right and at a strange angle.. But, maybe something has come out since then - I couldn't find anything that would allow this carb to fit though; space issues... I'm currently running the Mikuni clone 30mm with a 115 main jet, 42 slow with a catless pipe. Definite boost in power through the RPMs. I'm happy with it now - it's not sputtering or jerking on hard acceleration anymore

I may look in to this during the winter while it's just sitting.. I abandoned that idea when I couldn't find the manifold adapter. Why isn't there a bolt-on pumper carb?? Or, is there and I just don't know?

The PE28 will perform better. The PE28 is a smooth bore carb that is a full 28mm and not tapered like the VM26 and No choke valve obstructing the air flow. It will be more responsive.

Ok so if the Nibbi PE28 wont fit (Very unfortunate) should I go with the VM26 or the Mikuni clone 30mm? or will they pretty much do the same thing performance wise? are either of them easier to adjust?

do you have a link to the Mikuni clone 30mm you bought PK?

If it sits off to the right when you are sitting on it then that is at least similar to the HAWK. The HAWK angles to the right around the frame and has a specific up and down orientation. Post up some pictures of it, especially directly overhead and in relation to the frame. The closest spigot intake to a HAWK intake is the Nibbi CQR intake on Amazon but I found it does not work on my HAWK.

The carb turns inward towards the clutch side at a fairly sharp angle and is tucked in tight against the airbox. If you were to ditch the airbox and go with a pod then one of the angled adapters might work.. but in my opinion, its not worth ditching the stock airbox as it protects the foam filter very well.
If you zoom on the attached pic you can see better

I can't zoom in on that pix, so it is hard to tell. It looks like it comes back through the frame. What intake did you put on the Brozz?
