I've got three of the steel mesh, oil filters. At Taobao prices, I wouldn't mind having several more. Having more than one spare oil filter allows me to clean several at the same time, and makes it more likely I will actually have a clean one available when it's time for an oil change.

The keys I ordered here
(http://www.ebay.com/itm/271138404411) Arrived today. Will try and swing by my work and get them cut tomorrow I'm hoping to get them both cut and work But if I screw one up I'm happy if I pull one off and have 2 keys The quality of them is very nice. There a bit bigger then I thought. But there not huge I think they look cool Here's them next to the original key Thanks Dave |

Very nice blanks at a good price. It sure would be nice to have access to a key cutter.

I had it in my head to get keys done ASAP when I got the bike. It only came with one and it's bent already. I don't want to try to straighten it in fear of breaking it. So I'll copy it. Then put the original away for safe keeping. Dave |

The ad never specifys TTR and TTR keys cost more. So I looked up some of the models listed here and compared them to the other models the TTR keys worked with and bingo some were the same figured it was worth a shot.
And plus the keys look cool Almost genuine yamaha lol |

Did you try inserting the blank into the ignition yet? If they work for you, I'll likely pick up a pair for my TW.

If you don't have a machine I'm sure Canadian tire or any hardware store will cut them for you. I'd try to find a small mom and pop shop that does keys. Might copy them for free where the bigger chain stores might turn you away. Or a locksmith lol Could ship them to me and I'll ship them back. But guessing it'll be cheeper to find someone local. I'll let you know if my copy's work. Hopefully know by tomorrow night. Dave |

I've used a few local key cutters with good results. I used to go to the Rona warehouse, but they closed the doors for good.

I just realized that I can't use a Yamaha key, because I'm using a Zong ignition on my TW. When I got the bike, the harness had been hacked, and there were no gauges or lights. I've since purchased a Zong speedometer / idiot light cluster, so it'll look factory. I can't remember what type of key blank I found, but it might have been Dodge.
