Fact.
Is that what the "TT" stands for on the TT 250? BTW, what does the TT stand for?

Many of the "orangy" ones faded badly in a short time. I saw the more brass looking ones in the production photo and if that color is correct, I'm hoping that they've put a better, longer lasting finish on them so they don't fade as quickly as the older ones.

That's going to look great!
For Mrs. 2LZ white TT250 I ordered white grips, white bar pad, white gloves and a black and white helmet.

You are wise to be kind to Mrs. 2LZ. That woman is a 'keeper.'

TT stands for tourist trophy. Kicking around on the Internet reveals it originally started in 1907 as a form of motorcycle racing. I knew it as a nomenclature for a limited run of Triumph Bonnevilles designed strictly for racing (one I wanted dearly back in the day). More info on the history is here:

The blog photo to which you refer is a PhotoShopped affair that has the gold color of the prototype bikes. The production bikes will have the more subdued gold-anodizing like the new 2016 RX3s and the RC3s have. I didn't care much for the prototype gold. The lighter gold anodizing looks much better, IMO.

That being said, I am probably going to have my fork uppers powder coated black. My TT250 will be black, at least for a little while. I've played around a bit in Photoshop to see what a mostly black TT would look like, and I like it...

Black bikes are usually the fastest ones (after orange, of course, but orange isn't an option on the TT). Having said that, though, I'm going to spend the $0.37 it will take to buy a spare set of bodywork and have it painted so my bike will match my watch...

You might think I'm kidding about the colors and the custom paint, but I am not. I was kidding about the $0.37 for the body work, so don't call the plant and ask for that price. It's actually a little more.
