Added 20mm bar risers, primarily to make room to slide the forks up in the triples...
I ordered these from Amazon, $16.88 delivered. They fit great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TWFH33Y?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Quick street ride with the new Shinko 705 4.10-18 rear, with the front forks slid up in the triples ~0.400":
The differences are subtle but noticeable. Some small positive changes, minimal cost, and no downsides, at least for how I'll be using the bike. What was I trying to accomplish? To lower the seat height slightly to make it more friendly for shorter, less experienced riders, without major cost, and fully reversible. What did I accomplish? * Lowered the seat height and center of mass almost 1/2". My wife claims she can't tell the difference, but I can tell she can handle it a little better at a stop. * reduced the rear tire weight by over 2lbs. The bike should accelerate incrementally faster, and less unsprung weight improves compliance over bumps. * raised the bars relative to the seat by 20mm. Should be more comfortable for me when standing on the pegs. * Effectively lowered the gearing for better or worse. Cost me a total of $100.04, and my time to install the tire and bar risers. Potential downsides, at least in theory: * I lost 1/2" of ground clearance. I can afford that. I ride 90% street, 10% gravel roads. * I lost some small amount of cornering clearance. If I start dragging pegs I'll consider that problem when I get to it. Then it might be time for stiffer springs. * Rear tire is slightly narrower. Anywhere I was going to go on the stock tire, I can go on this one... * Effectively lowered the gearing for better or worse. Riding the bike on the street it feels ever so slightly lower, but also maybe more "planted". It maybe feels a little less clumsy at slow speeds and going into slow corners. It feels great going into 50-60 MPH corners. I think it will feel better for gravel roads, and the kind of light trail riding I'll do on the bike. It's definitely feels better for street riding. The main thing I notice is the lower gearing as a result of the smaller diameter rear wheel. I have a 14-tooth sprocket I'll install this week and see where that gets me. I can pick up a slightly smaller rear sprocket if I'm then geared too tall... So at this point, I'm totally happy with the results. YMMV... Attached photo of my bike with the new rear tire and lowered front.

Did you ever get a response from Venom? (When you inquired about replacement air filters)

Venom just quoted me $49.99 + Free shipping. Pretty spendy for a China bike. May look into making a foam filter by removing the paper from the stock filter and replacing it with foam when the time comes. Mine still looks good after 2800 miles.

You can also extend the life of a paper filter by vacuuming it with the crevice attachment to get between the pleats. Did that to my car's engine and cabin air filters and they look almost new.

You can order direct from American Lifan for about half that price.

I am curious if anyone has compared the EFI components on the KPX to those of the XPect. I was wondering if they are similar.

Hey guys! So due to a questionable $35 lever set I now need a new clutch cable. Felt a bit of a grinding in my lever and discovered about three quarters of the braided steel clutch cable had sheared clean through, so fun! Does anyone know how to disconnect the clutch cable from the transmission end? I’ve been looking at it and I’m afraid to get access I’ll need to remove the exhaust. Any input from anyone is greatly appreciated!! 5700mi on my kpx so far and running smooth as butter!

Yeah, it's pretty tight quarters. More than likely you will have to remove the header pipe.
