Thumbs Up

I remember riding out to the Isle of Man TT waaaay back in the late 70's to see maybe the greatest motorcycle racer of all time come out of an 11 year retirement to win the TT. Scared the chit out of me to just watch! and they were only going somewhere around 150 - 170 plus back then if i remember right. Here's the kicker, Mike Hailwood was riding a Ducati 900SS full race version of the same motor the factory had once built for me, 4 years before

Seems like we (ha, you) have been waiting forever, what's the latest? Still first week in may? All the new bike delivers are like birthdays and these waiting days are getting old.

lol !
you're not kidding bout the anticipation! I even went out to the garages and moved the other bikes around to create a dedicated parking space for the TT, I'm laughing my ass off as this thing costs what? bout twice of what my dealer wants to charges me for a new set of tyres and a few "dealer services/oil changes" for one of my "big" bikes.! Reminds me of dating sometimes the least expensive dates turn out to be the most fun
(oh, and in case you wondered, I still service my big bikes myself too: when i,m putting MY azz on the line, I want to know how the work was done.)

Not a big deal. I'm a patient guy. Besides, I just had to give my first born male child, my entire harem, plus left testicle to Uncle Sam and Uncle Jerry about a week ago. Having a little time to allow my checkbook to stop hemorrhaging will be nice. ;-)

That does look good with the black letters! Like kohburn says, PlastiDip may be the ticket on the forks...and I have some in the shop already! ;-)

The CSC TT250 has a frame-mounted helmet lock. Do the Hawk bikes have a helmet lock?

Yes my hawk had the helmet lock. Not to make anyone mad but.....both bikes are great. but blowing up and looking at both bikes they are the same (except for the motor and shocks of course) even the plastics, the muffler guard has the same design cut in it, same tail light same ignition key switch with the little door, same chain adjuster, same seat same rear rack and pass. grab bars. This is not to down grade any bike but to let people know there are multiple parts place options. rps has complete plastic kits that would bolt right on if anyone wanted to change their color.($150. 00 for all the whole plastic kit if i remember). He was looking into orange the last i spoke with him.

You're not offending anyone, Ron. Thanks for posting the good information.

Nope, no offense taken here in the least. Undoubtedly, the bikes are very similar with a few acceptions....but being here in CA, we take what we can get! I'm really looking forward to the TT250 in the stable.

It's nice to know parts availability is not going to be a problem. I'm new to the whole CB world, but from what I've read so far, that's one objection people always bring up when discussing CB's. So it appears they are wrong when it comes to this bike.

I like the idea of the black powder coated fork tubes, may interfere with the triple clamps though. maybe some plasti-dip
