I don't forsee a problem with the exhaust port. I highly doubt CCW spent the kind of money it would take to custom cast or machine/drill some cylinder heads because they wanted to change the bolt pattern of the head on the exhaust side. Lots of us pushrod engine guys rocking exhaust systems made for the OHC engine. Worst case scenario, the studs are a few mm wider or closer together. Easy modification.

If there was anything I would be worried about, it would be the right side cover on the bike. CCW used to sell a metal cover for that side to work with the exhaust, so if there was to be any sort of fabrication work, that would likely be where it is needed.

Here is a nice headlight I found. Really like the look, and it is universal but it looks like I have to change the connectors on the wires..... hopefully the light will work properly with the DF250RTG

Did this light work good on your bike? Did you have to do any modifications? I rode my bike for the first time in the dark on the way bro work. Don't find the stock light bright enough.

Why not change the bulb to a LED one? Someone here has probably done it.

I'm thinking of that too. Just not sure which to try especially being the bulb is not that much cheaper than buying the whole insert

I have never changed out a bulb for a LED one but I am sure someone here has done it.

Don't know what happened to KyzoSoupz. Hope he didn't have another crash.

Sup humans! Its been a minute. Quick update on my DF250RTG, I have reached 2500 miles on the bike and so far so good. It's time to get new replacement Front breaks I have a good bit left on the front but it's almost that time to replace them as well it's time to clean chain and lubricate the chain. One issue, my rear drum brake has been squealing, I have not removed rear wheel to inspect it but i may have to replace rear drum shoes. I shouldn't have to there is no way there worn out now.
I'm having difficulty finding drum brake shoes for this motorcycle. Idk if there is one size on drum brake shoes or there is different sizes. I have never changed a drum break on a motorcycle before.

Just got done cleaning my chain and sprockets and reapplied chain lube. Now I let it set and dry and put my covers back on. Pretty easy

I might soon sell my DF250rtg and purchase this bike.
I would upgrade but..... I think I love 250's to much. I'm sorry, I just gotta try this bike. I'm gonna miss the little DF250RTG, she is a great bike. But for now, I'm going to enjoy her as much as I can before I lend it to another hand.

Nope I cant ride at night, I'm on a permit. I did not change the headlamp. I actually dont have issue with my lights except for high beam. High beam isn't bright at all like low beam. Weird

Well shoot.... now I'm stuck motorcycle only for god only knows how long. My truck's engine decided to blow up at a stop light today. This is going to be very interesting situation
Anyways, new motorcycle got my eyes and I'm kinda thinking about it. CSC RX4, amazing looking bike. New plans. New truck and save up for the RX4. Challenge accepted
I dont think I will sell the DF250RTG, it's just.... I cant, I have been thinking about and man I realized it's not going to be easy. It's just a smile on your face machine I cant ditch.

I removed my gear shifter and cut off the back so I would not rest my heel on it. Also when you reinstall it you could go up a spline or two to get more clearance for your boot.
