You are right Okie. 39 rear with OEM 13T front sprocket is a good final drive ratio, if even a little tall for off road... I might go back to a 13T to regain a little lower 1st gear. I did a brief off road ride yesterday and it was OK. But the engine is easily powerful enough to deal with the gearing, no problem. This wasn't difficult terrain or in the trees. I was able to move along fast. 5th gear is a noticably bigger drop and it cruises at moderate rpm on the highway now. But making room for the 14T doesn't mean I can't go back!

Only thing left to do is install new front sprocket. Anyone have a pic of how much and what they ground down?

Here is picture of the binding spot before I cut the thing out (not just ground). It is recessed in there and the sprocket cover protectsthe area pretty good. https://www.chinariders.net/showpost...&postcount=448 Also, get a 40mm bolt and a 30mm bolt to replace the short bolts that hold the sprocket cover on. They are way too short and lots of unused threads in the case https://www.chinariders.net/showpost...&postcount=446 |

Digging on youtube I found that powersportsmax has put a new video out 13 hours ago on a Templar M. The bike looks very similar to the X. Has anybody heard about a Templar M?

M? XPro doesn't have an "M" on their website this morning. Neither does powersportsmax (same vendor actually-both are XPro). I wonder if this is a new version coming soon.
Nice assembly video The bike has the heavier frame (same as X model), adjustable levers, adjustable front fork. It looks identical to the X, but this M came with rear footpegs, a solid front axel (instead of the hollow clamped version on my X). The triple tree was assembled on the X-not on this crate "M" bike. In fact, the bottom of the front forks are pinned in the crate for stabilizing during shipping. That isn't much work to assemble, and it means that you will know things are tensioned right on the front end if you do it yourself. I did not see the ballonet for rear shock adjustment. Maybe I missed it. Last edited by Thumper; 08-02-2022 at 10:25 AM. |

Interesting looks like the shorter Templar swing arm and no KK&E suspension also. I really like this manufacturer. Please come out with water cool 300cc and up bike from this manufacturer!

Yup. They make the FX NC300. It's on YouTube. NC 450 too. Other markets. Looks like "Eastern Europe"

Correct you are! I've been waiting, watching and wanting this bike. (NC300). I believe it will show up here by end of the year. Sure hope so.

Thumper,
I sold my 08 softail custom and yz250 over the last year. I am missing having a bike so, im hoping to get one that I can put around on. I feel like the Templar X would be perfect. Thank you |

My guess is that if offered at ~$2800, they would sell out quickly for a tidy profit. I see videos on these liquid cooled bikes (looks like Eastern Europe). Nice bike CR version appears to be offroad only: Here are some nice closeups on the CR300 (NICE frame, engine, everything!) |

Don't think the "M" means anything. That's what China put on the box, probably for multiple markets. Here they call it an "X". My new Lifan KPX has an owner's manual that IDs it as a KPC.

I didn’t get to watch the entire video though. Still, I agree with Thunper-bring on the 300/450! A good, inexpensive 400/450 would about kill the drz400 off if it had a 6 speed.
