How is the throttle response (EFI fuel metering) on the KPX250?

I'm wondering, does it respond smoothly vs. jerky to throttle changes, particularly from idle (e.g. starting from a Stop)?

Off-road, chugging along in 1st or 2nd gear, is adding throttle a delicate undertaking without a bit of a jolt?

Throttle response is smooth.

Hey guys! Just curious, does anyone know what type of air filter could be a replacement for the oem one? Just curious if there’s a nicer one out there. I’m also wondering what type of brake pads these take. 2700mi on my kpx and it’s been really good. Thanks as always.

I never really looked into it yet. From reading the owners manual it should be washable like the K&N filters but like I said I really haven't looked into it.

Thanks jerry! I’m more looking for a filter type ( for example the oil filter is a 112 filter). Hopefully my question makes sense.

Also, for everyone, I tried to upload the service manual for the kpx but the file is too large. 130+ pages. Vince (absolute legend) over at venom Motorsports provided me with it via email. I’m sure they would be happy to send it out to people who want it.

I sent you a PM about the Service manual.

Until I physical pull the filter and take some measurements i won't be much help. I'm sure I will figure it out once i do.

I just checked my filter again at 1630 miles. Looks like it will still be a while until it needs replacing. Please let us know if you're to determine what the replacement is.

I found a couple that are close but not exact. K&N doesn't carry anything that particular size either. I'm on a mission. lol

Well so far I have not found a filter with the exact measurements yet. Closest I've found was 5 5/8" x 3 1/2" which will be too long. The thickest shouldn't matter. I also contacted American Lifan about a part number for a readily available filter such as Fram or any other manufacturer. They told me the filters can be purchase through Venom Motorsports as they have them in stock. Mean time I'll keep looking for anther source.
