So MICRider, what did you end up getting? Spring is here!

I took my insurance cashout from getting hit (totallying $4200 between property and pain/suffering) and got this!

Opted to keep the Diamo for $400. Will make a great buddy bike for camping this summer.

Nice bike! Wow, this thread is a blast from the past... I think it was one of my first posts on the forum. I should have taken Spud's wise advice then . I ended up buying a Konker KSM200 (same as your Q-Link supermoto's) with an enduro kit... Loved it dearly but wanted something more highway capable. So, swapped my Honda Shadow and some cash for a 2008 KLR 650 with a few goodies on it. It's the ideal bike for me and does everything I want. It's too heavy for single track but I mostly ride solo, so single track would be kind of dangerous anyway . Nice bike for highway work and exploring the back roads. Unfortunately I ended up with one of the 08's that use oil, but it's not too bad. I keep a close eye on it. When it gets too bad I will slap the 685 kit in it.

Wow, nice score! That must have been a blast when you first rode it away, probably couldn't wipe the smile off your face for a week You can do some serious touring on that thing and still run fireroads too. Congrats!

This WR250R is a '09. Swallowed the bullet and bought it new (ouch) but it is a friggin blast. WR (Wide Ratio) gives me a screaming low first but cruises 75 mph at a comfortable rpm with NO vibration. Six speed, fuel injection, excellent suspension, light weight, 26k valve check schedule, the list goes on and on!

1000 miles and I'm still laughing out loud in my helmet

The WR is a beauty, I've heard nothing but good things about them, I'd be laughing in my helmet as well . The light weight would be nice too, KLR is a bit on the heavy side. Good to hear it all worked out for both of us

Nice bike, MB! If you have time, please do post a review, with more photos, in the Other Stuff forum; I would love to learn more about your WR250R!
