Not really, but it's safer than a tight valve. Wear aside, loose valves will make for less power.

Dallas, don't worry about how it's running now (flat spot, etc..). That CG motor's as tight as my best friend at a bar when it's his turn to buy a round. Put 300 miles on it before adjusting anything. It's personality will change dramatically. Just be real cool to it for a while. There's a hell of a lot of friction and hot spots happening in there at the moment.

not yet, but I renewed my license the other day at the DMV, and I brought the paperwork for the hawk, lady saw no issues as long as I get my insurance card. going back Tuesday to put her on the road. If it works I'll make a post.
