Sorry - a midwesternism. Front X = Front axle.

True but not where letsride was asking about. Wouldn't want him to wait thinking he can get one from apscusa in three weeks. They haven't had one in going on six months but there website has for six months said there will be only a three week wait.

How are you liking the storm? Have you broken it in yet?

It kinda looks like a Brozz, has the luggage rack I like, no pics of the instrument cluster and I don't know if its a counterbalanced engine, pushrod, or OHV.
You will need to call Don with APSCUSA. The website is not always accurate wit what is in stock. He will answer any questions you have. They do answer emails and phone calls before and after the sale. I had some damage to my daughters Side by side caused my the shipper and they sent out all the replacement parts right away.

I am very satisfied with the Storm. I have put 850 KM on it so far. So, getting close to breakin. There is more vibration than i was expecting. ......not bad, and has been slowly getting better. I have checked/tightened all fasteners. Some of the vibration comes from the tank mounted plastics. So, i need to add a rubber washer to both sides of the tank where the plastc mounts to the frame support. Overall, this is a quality bike for the money.

The engine on the Storm and Brozz are of the counterbalanced variety. But are they still a push rod engine or are they OHC?

I've restored and brought back to life many old jap bikes and there is a proper torque spec on this stuff. Just curious, and please don't take this as me dogging anyone, just my .02. When I get my bike in the crate I want to do it right the first time, I will be in no hurry. Thanks again.

depends on ones expirience.. you get used to how much to tighten say a 10mm compared to a 12mm. with the exception of head gaskets, pressure plates and the like I never pull out ay of my torque wrenches..

And then on these bikes you just go a little tighter, or use lock tight.
