You know i have been in the shop all afternoon organizing and had a flashback, i used to have a mid 90's Polaris Explorer 300 ATV that was air cooled but it had a fan on it as well to cool it down. It was a noisy stinky 2 stroke lol. Like my 800 Sportsman MUCH better!

Traditional extra cooling equipment in southeast asia means small drip of water fed by gravity to head... This shit results in uneven temperature which shorten metal's longevity

Around my area 'Super Tech Oil' can be Exxon/Mobil but usually it's packaged by Warren Distribution (Warren Oil Company from Nebraska, makes MAG 1 and several other brands)
Whoever Super Tech is packaged by, it is usually good stuff for the price... use the word "inexpensive" instead of cheap... cheap refers to the 'quality' of a product http://www.warrendistribution.com/brands http://www.pqiamerica.com/SupertechApril2010.htm http://www.pqiamerica.com/March2013PCMO/supertech.htm http://www.pqiamerica.com/May%202013/supertech.htm

Yeah, that's right. A PCV valve is a great solution. May have to change to a more rigid hose too. Or use a short piece of rigid hose at the cranckase, plug in the PCV, and use the original hose from there on out.

From what I've heard SuperTech oil comes from different manufacturers depending on location. Walmart carries a book showing the manufacturers of all their house brand stuff. Last I checked, been a few years, their oil was Quaker State and the filters were Champion labs. My walmart stopped having SuperTech filters a few years ago, I was bummed. I assume they've stopped all together and it's not just my local store.
I've run lots of bikes on 15-40 from my old air cooled turbo bike to modern sport bikes. My '97 CBR1100XX with it's 9 plate clutch got a little notchy shifting once warm, but the later 7 plate bikes do fine. |

my understanding was that walmart has periodic bidding wars from a number of manufacturers- they put out the specs and low bidder gets a time certain contract, rinse repeat. they make the mfg's fight it out for market share. brutal business technique but old sam cut CUT EVERYONE to the bone...
