i have had another issue with my bike today, i went to start it (kick start) and i noticed that my Electric start was trying to engage while doing so. but the really weird thing is my electric start is not even hooked up, the positive and negative wires are not attached to the bike (electric starter clutch is toast) so the kick start is my only method of getting it to start and i just found it extremely odd that everytime i kick it, the starter motor makes noise like its spinning. makes no sense at all |

I've heard that noise on occasion. My guess is that the one-way gear is sticking a bit.
Is your friend's CG liquid cooled?

His CG is also Air Cooled aswell, an regarding the sticking one way gear, do you think a CG over-running clutch would work on a CB engine? ive been looking at purchasing a new one but all ive been coming up with is the CG one

I haven't compared them, but I'd say probably. Do you have a CG over-running clutch that you can compare with? You've torn into CG motors more than I have.

Visually they look to be the same, my friends CG over running clutch is also bad so i may just wing it. Order one and put it on my CB after comparing the new with the old and if there is a difference and does not work on mine atleast it will on his. I was concerned because i wasnt sure if trying to kick my engine over and having the starter motor spin at the same time would be good for it

do you think that would be the same as well? the only thing so far it has is the same number of teeth, and it says " most commonly used for 150cc to 250cc automatic ATVs, dirt bikes, and buggies/go-karts" if i have to i will order from taobao but if i can get the part locally or in canada that would save a lot of time for me. this part is something else to me as Ive never really had much trouble with these parts in the past so Ive never actually had to change one or look into them i knew what they were and do but that was pretty much it. |

I've ordered a few times, and I don't think there has ever been a missing item.

Awesome! i will be making an order sometime this week. I had also received the Main Jets and Slow jets you sent me, thank you again! i will be giving them a try in the next day or so and see if my bike runs better. i will also be making a new thread this week regarding a CG250 that came in for a top end rebuild, i dont know what the guy done to it but it was seeping oil out the exhaust port and out of the intake . i plan to tear into it tomorrow im assuming it will be bent valves, he told me he was doing "wheelies" and started shooting oil and leaking everywhere, also said before it happened his engine was ticking really loud, from the sounds of it the thing will need new valves and seals also valve clearance, maybe even a new complete top end just for the sake of it. i have a few spare parts i bought in bulk last year so i wont have to wait for valves and gaskets ect. should be a pretty fun tear down!

You're welcome.
I'm looking forward to that new thread! If a wheelie was pulled for a long enough distance (and maybe the oil level was a little low), do you think the oil pump would starve? Brandon (my honourary Son) has a Gio with a CG230 in it, and I think it suffered a similar fate. He's going to install a spare CG I have for now, and we'll tear into the 230 soon. We'll be watching your thread for educational and entertainment purposes.
