I have owned bikes from all the big japanese. Hondas have been my favorite, but all have been fun.
Mother Honda. I think they put their faith in the wrong thing.

I don't care for honda cars or trucks. Have not been too impressed with the one accord and two civics I owned. All died before 150K and sported cancerous bodies.

I'm kinda drawn to the Honda Ridgeline, though it's outside of the budget at this time.

I liked the early Honda cars, but by the mid 80's they just became vanilla bland ordinary Japanese economy cars. No pizazz. I know they perform well but bore me.

The cancer (rust) was explained to me as, 'The Japanese import all their steel. It's all very high carbon content. It rusts quickly if left unprotected." It explained, even here in the PRK, why I was rusting around the lugnuts on the rims. Anywhere paint left.....rust happened. You're not imagining things.

My brother had well over 150,000 miles on his Honda Accord when he sold it; as far as I know, it's still running well. He replaced the Accord with a Honda CRV; he likes the CRV a lot. All automobiles in Pennsylvania rust from the copious use of road salt during the winter, so I don't know if Hondas rust more than other automobiles.
This thread is an interesting example of "China Riders Thread Drift Syndrome." What started out as a ride report has become a commentary on Honda vehicle engineering. Nevertheless, I find this discussion quite interesting. Spud

My accord was originally from PA. The rear suspension decided to part with the car on 494 in Minneapolis. Maybe 100K miles on it.

To correct the drift I may take a picture of Miss Megan posing on the Gold Wing later today.
That will refocus us. 8)

Today I plan to take her out on the XR100's. :P
They are Roger's, for his daughters, but he keeps them at my place because I have the good riding area. One's pink, the other is lavender. I prefer the pink one.
