Damn...just hearing about this still weird's me out since I am a brand new driver.
The other day in NY we had a heat wave ( high 90's ) and I wanted to take my bike for morning ride, so I full suited up and the world criticized me, other cars..other bikers.. "arent you hot?" Sh*t yeah I was ..but I dress for the slide...not for the ride. Glad you're ok brother. |

Ehh.. I've been 2 crashes that were alot worse 30 years ago. I had just let myself get sloppy and lulled into a false sense of security because the Hawk is so under powered. But the reality is you're still doing 60mph on knobby tires and the secondary roads aren't marked for intersections or sharp curves.
I had almost the same scenario happen a month prior on a different road that I wasn't familiar with either. But I was going a little slower and didn't panic so I only locked up the rear tire momentarily. I'll be back to riding in a month and if I don't know the road or cant see what's over the hill I'm gonna be way more cautious. This old body cant take much more. Jay rides alot more cautious than I do, but he also took a couple bad spills in his younger years and had to wear a leg cast for almost 8 months. I ofcourse looked at those, but it just seems like it would have to be bulky and uncomfortable.

Jay just stopped by to pickup his 15 tooth sprocket. He's got a ride planned this weekend with some of our buddies and says the 17/39 ratio is like power assisted coasting. I knew it was gonna be too tall, and keep in mind we are in the foothills of the West Virginia mountains. I'm hoping my 13/33 ratio isn't too tall for these hills.

I had a 17/40 setup on my first TMEC 200. The rear was custom made by a company called Rebel Gears because TMEC used an oddball rear hub that was used on European 125 motards that we most definitely did not have in the US. I had to keep it in 4th to stay in the powerband. 5th didn't work for the most part. When I bought my new TMEC 200 I went with a commercial JT sprocket. The tallest one made was a 48 tooth(stock was 17/56), so there was definite improvement and 5th was most usable again.

Any clue what version pilot jet fits the TBR7 stock carbs? I get asked a lot but have no 1005 confirmation.
I thought the short " cold start" pilot jets |

Didn't Motocheez get a kit from you for the TBR7? Check with him.

Just watched the Motocheez TBR7 video again to see if you can tell what's in it but no luck.

I toasted the arbor on my old dremel so I don't have anything to slot the screws with at the moment. But I'm ordering the Wen rotary tool kit soon and I'll open it up then.
