Valvoline heavy duty diesel oil. 15w-40 because I had a gallon in my shop. I will probably switch to the that oil that reminds me of Nutella next year. I also used DOT 3 brake fluid because I also had some of that.

That's why I prefer the Mikuni. You can get pilot jets for them. I don't know where you go to find pilot jets for a Keihin or the clone Sheng Way.

It depends on the Keihin clone; some will actually accept Keihin jets. Mikuni carbs (even fakes) will always accept Mikuni jets, IME. A Keihin clone that will accept jets you can actually find is worth keeping.

Does that mean that some Keihan clones will accept the Mikuni pilot jet? Is there a way to tell the difference? I was just about to write another article on Hawk Talk, explaining why I reccomend the Mikuni carb, but I'm going to hold off until I can find the answer to this question.

Thanks for being so well-mannered. The rest of the story is that you'd need to measure a jet in question, and compare it with the dimensions posted on www.jetsrus.com. In other words, I can't tell you if a Mikuni jet would fit a Keihin clone unless I had a Keihin clone jet to work with. What complicates that is Keihin clone carbs are inconsistent, whereas Mikuni carbs always use the same jets, IME.
The typical 30mm Mikuni carb that several of us know and love uses N100.604 Large Round main jets and VM28/486 slow jets.
