Yeah I was looking at one at princess auto, but this one is better... If you bought it at full price you probably could've returned it and bought it again for half price

Chinese made off brand motorcycle lift, purchased for $49. It seemed the perfect match for my chinese made motorcycle.

I live in West Virginia. Everything is on a hill! You're right though. My shop is on a hill near my mom's house, which is just down the road from my house. We live on family land that was purchased in the 1940's by my grandfather. Our houses are about 200 yards apart.

In the picture below you can see the shop. I built a small ramp to get my bikes in and out. My 950 will actually fit though that door, but I have to take the panniers off and wiggle it through. The shop is heated and keeps the bikes warm and dry though the winter.

I've been to WV with a buddy of mine back in the mid 80's quite a few times. His aunt and cousins live just outside of Pennsboro if recall correctly. You are correct everything is on a hill. Your story reminded me of a lot of good (drunken) times I had while visiting. Did a lot of fishing and shooting while there. They had a wild turkey (not the drink) that was mean as all get out. My buddies family stills goes there to visit from time to time. Nice place.

Back on topic.

I bought one of these motorcycle jacks from Sam's club a few years ago.
It wouldn't work with my Buell so I sold it to my brother-in-law for his atv's.

It included this adapter. I thought it may work but didn't.

Got one of these stands off ebay when I got my GY. It's ok but more work than I wanted.
Passed it on to a friend.

Ended up with this from Sears. Christmas present to myself this past year.
I absolutely love it. It works with all my bikes but the Buell.

I personally don't have the need for a table type lift as it would take up too
much room when not in use. Also not that praticle for changing tires. My
opinion of course.

My problem is I have no shop, no garage, my workspace is the parking spot infront of our townhouse, I keep all my tools in the basement and the basement is nearly full(its what happens when two people move in together and are both not willing to throw anything away). So anything that I can't carry with one hand is too big, heavy and/or cumbersome.

I have an aluminum floor jack from HF that I use for the car. Maybe I could fab an adaptor plate for it to work with the bike...hmmmmmm....

Just paid for bike, gear, rider course, licence, and wonky Canadian Insurance. Plates and registration on Saturday. I'm out of money.
I go to Canadian Tire once a week for stuff for our home, (I only buy on sale items) I have a shop in my basement, and an attached, unheated, one car garage. (So no space till the wife leaves for work.) I want to talk my neighbor in to getting a lift and storing it in his garage. We have Sears up here, but Crappytire is usually cheaper.

Which do you guys like more? CanadinTire, or Sears? Price matters less when you're splitting cost.
