i did a little more to the exhaust, and took a polishing bit to it aswell. My phone died and i wasn't able to get another picture, but it's pretty close.

I don't know if you know about replacing the "rag" head/exhaust pipe gasket with a copper o-ring type, but I recommend that you do...ARH

I have a question related to the head porting. I hope it is ok to ask hear vs starting a new thread. I too would like to Port the head to pickup a little top end performance. I seen one on eBay for sale for around $50. I was thinking of getting it and doing the port work on it in case I mess it up my stock head would still be usable. I will add the eBay link. Could anyone tell me if it is the correct on for the hawk. My hawk is a 2018 if that makes a difference. Also does anyone have a link for the correct head gasket for the hawk. Thanks. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F292266378421

I don't remember the exact hole to hole dimensions so I can't say if that one will work or not. I do know the head for the CSC tt250 will work and the exhaust port is not as restrictive as the HAWK head. Also the head gasket for the tt250 will work.

the tt250 head gasket is thinner and will increase compression on the hawk. I did the math and my compression is 11.3:1 now

Start planning on using higher octane/premium fuel (if you haven't already)

I second that. And make sure you tuned the carb. Lean fuel mixture + high CR = Boom!

Lean fuel mixture + high CR + Boom! = Brown undies that need replacing, along with most the engine

Finished the maths for you

I re-adjusted my formula.

my engine has been running pretty smoothly. I've been listening for knocking, but I've had none.

I think I'm gonna buy that performance cdi soon. try and get some more power out of it.

Be careful not to advance timing too much. With the higher compression ratio you don't really want to advance the timing. Besides most of those so called performance CDI's are worthless. If you do anything you will want a programable CDI that you can physically adjust the timing table. Only problem is the programable CDI is DC which means you will have to convert everything from AC to DC system.
