stalling issue
i still have the occasional stalling issue,,,that seems to happen only when coming to a stop sign or redlight,,,,installed all the new parts supplied by csc,,ran a dose of lucas fuel injector cleaner thru it (per csc tech) adjusted the valves,, an also checked battery voltage per spud;s advise ( its fine),,,isnt anyone else having this problem? Could it possibly be something to do with the clutch safety switch? Oh btw the bike always starts right back up after a stall.

When is the last time you checked the valve lash?
I think it might be normal for some bikes with EFI to stall in this manner, occasionally. However, my problems disappeared when I put in a good battery, and adjusted the valve lash.

Mine has done it maybe 3-4 times in 3200 miles. Not enough to figure out why and not enough nuisance for me to worry about yet. It seems that if I've given it some throttle then chop the throttle off for a stop sign is when it has died. I can usually hit the starter button quick enough to save face though. rj

The new, Honda CRF250L motorcycles have fuel injection, and they exhibit the same behavior.

Today I once again checked my valve lash; it was 2,500 miles since the last inspection/adjustment. I am happy to report my there was no change in the valve lash for any of the valves. All four valves had the same valve lash I had set at the last adjustment.

stalling
i just did the valve adjustment last week,,,so only 200 miles ago ,it definately runs better since then..The intake valves were screwed down tight ,could this have hurt it? mine stalls 3 or 4 times in 100 miles just like others have said when coming to a stop or at a stop and trying to start off again.

The valve lash is very easy to set too big, since the valve cover openings are relatively small, and bend the feeler gauges. As with my Honda CRF250X, I need to insert the feeler gauges from the opposite side, or I bend the gauges, and set the valve lash too high. Perhaps you might want to try my technique, and see if you get the same readings for the valve lash.

...open and close the key for three times, namely, open —close—open—close—open the key, the fault light will come to a flash code corresponding to the fault. One must also perform this procedure quickly. If you don't get any fault codes, the ECU believes the EFI system components are in good condition. If you have a genuine problem, then the fault must lie elsewhere, with the battery, valve lash, spark plug, et cetera.

Please bear with my ignorance. To me, open means to disconnect a circuit, or switch it off. Is that what you're saying, or by open, do you mean key on?
It makes sense to me that the key must finish in the on position.

http://www.manualslib.com/manual/816...age=138#manual Indeed, the key must finish in the 'on' position. You must turn the key on and off quickly, namely, on — off — on — off — on. If the ECU has detected a problem, the engine fault light will then flash a code, as described in Chinglish at post #17 in the following link. http://www.chinariders.net/showthrea...t=14758&page=2
