If you can't find the ones you lost, clutch springs for the Yamaha TW200 will work.

Ordered the clutch springs from the Yamaha dealer a few day ago. 8 bucks a pop x 4. No wonder we all ride Chinese bikes. Yikes! Hope they arrive soon.

That's pretty steep. Next time, there's always eBay: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vesrah-H-Duty...d1e9b1&vxp=mtr

Actually I got a call from the Yamaha dealer. They said the distributor is out of stock, so I took the opportunity to cancel. Thanks for the link Weld. I found them on Amazon. Vesrah Heavy Duty Clutch Spring Set SK-206. 10.89 shipped. My wallet feels better.

I'm not sure where to post this info, but Amazon.com carries a full line of Vesrah replacement parts. Excellent pricing. I'm a prime member, so I get free 2 day shipping. I found a site that cross refrerences tw200 (200gy-2) parts. Also most Japanese bikes, It is here;
https://www.denniskirk.com/vesrah/cl...prd/384250.sku Then search on amazon; http://www.amazon.com/Vesrah-Clutch-...ype=motorcycle Makes life much easier for me. Just have to know what clone parts fit. Thanks Spud! |

That's good info for those of us who ride TW's as well.

The Vesrah Heavy Duty Clutch Spring Set arrived today. The Yamaha manual states 37.30mm free spring length. The new springs are 41.30mm? I hope thats the 'Heavy Duty' part . I assume that means harder to disengage and more stresss on the clutch cable. At any rate, in they go. Hope not to break a cable, or my hand

I had to fab fender washers 5mm x 16mm from Ace Hardware 1/8" x 3/4" f. washers.
Installed clutch assembly. Minor adjustments. Feels fine. No problems with the new springs. Checked all the gears by rocking, I was worried about the trans. We'll see about that later after I complete buttoning everything up on Wednesday, and start her up. So far so good. |
