So they expect this performance for 1300 usd So pretty much they get a 1300 usd chinese motorcycle and want it to behave like a KTM 450 rally... Then the motorcycle breaks, injuries may happen and then they flood the internet with things like this: "OMG THIS BIKE IS ROAD HAZZZZZARD!!! I WANTED TO DO SOME INSAJE JUMP AND IT BROKE!!" "NOT A KTM!!" "YOU ARE SUPPORTING THE CHINESE DEVIL!!" etc.... It's a 1300 usd motorcycle you can expect it to behave like a pure breed off road motorcycle. When they say ON/off road, they mean Ok for ON Road and OK for mild off road. Sure you can go mudding, gravel, etc but don't expect to jump a lot and not break the swing arm Sometimes names are just gimmicks, for example i had a Decathlon ROCK RIDER, it was 145 euros bike. It was quite nice you could use it for some mild off road, but common sense will tell you "hey buddy it is a 145 bike don't go rock riding with it". |

The helmet came today! Went with the Scorpion EXO-AT950 Neocon Helmet
Bike is due friday. * For the helmet i went with a xl size. My noggen measures at 59 cm / 23 1/2 so barely large but xl recomened. It's been prob since 1996 since I put a motorcyle helmet on, I usually only use one for mountain biking. It does seem tight, I've been wearing it for 20 minutes or so and it's snug but it's tolerable. Do you want a little play or is snug the way to go. Awesome helmet! Thanks! |

I had a bad experience with a too loose of a fit helmet. I met up with an 18 wheeler on a two lane hwy doing 55mph. The suction from the truck pulled my helmet up on my head and the chin guard was blocking my vision. Mind you this was on a two lane hwy with no shoulder. Swamp on both sides. Talk about butt puckering. Needless to say I went out and bought another helmet that day that fit.

She's home now!
the delivery was flawless - didnt' get the dmv paperwork so I will follow up - i dont have a wrench or nut to take off the oil plug to drain - they say to drain the oil when it arrives... didn't fire it up yet - it kills me not to. The clutch cable feels a little sloppy but shouldn't be an issue to fix. |

Congrats on the bike arriving!
You actually can start it up with the fluid in there...only wait until you are ready to change the oil. Fire it up, let it idle for a few minutes to warm up the oil, shut it down and drain it; warming the oil at any oil change lets it drain more completely, and you want that shipping oil to drain out more fully. Then, as you probably know by now, do your second oil change at around 100 miles and don't be worried if you see metal flakes in the oil at that change.
