I finished the 12vdc power supply yesterday while Mrs.C was in Wisconsin at a baby shower.

Not a bad little unit. Not a great little unit. Save for the IC chip and the PCB, I probably had all the components on hand. As you can see, a 0.01v difference at the HF DVOM. The unit is pretty stable up to 13V, then it flutters quite a bit. What wasn't done in the design is an On-Off switch. I'll fix that in the future.

A set of SAE and Metric bolt busters......a little while later, screw/bolt extractors in 2 different sizes and a 6 pack of beer to either drown my sorrows or celebrate my accomplishment.

I was trying to help my son fix his car. After I had him buy a series of parts that should have been a relatively easy repair, I failed miserably. Not a happy camper. I stopped before I did too much damage to drive the car. Now I have to find a mechanic that will use the parts I already sourced and deal with the bolts that couldn't get and boogered up in the process. FML!

One of these bike carriers to put on the back of our RV.
https://www.vevor.com/hitch-motorcyc...xoCJ84QAvD_BwE
Assembled and it seems OK. Will have to wait quite a while before I find out if I can load the bike on it. I may need a longer ramp but I feel like I can extend it a bit. The downs for the ramp I think are very sketchy for long trips. I'm going to do some kind of backup with pins and clips I think.
There's an almost identical one on Amazon for like $90 now but oh well. Bought some transmission tools and PDR kit from Vevor too.

bought a used Garmin Zumo 396 from an inmate at ADVRider. Hopefully will work better than my old 1355 that keeps shutting off.

When order stuff online do you count it when you order it or when it arrives?

Anyway. K'Hermit bought a padded seat cover that he says is cushier. I took a shot and mine just fell off the UPS truck. Knowing it was on the way and that my old staple guns suck, I was on the lookout for an upgrade. So happens I spotted a Arrow air operated one at a local and scored it. Going to pick it up tonight with fingers crossed that it actually works. All that will be left is stealing the time to swap the seats out. I hope.

Mrs.C and I went to Menard's this morning, just to get out of the house.

I was wandering around and found a lonely bottle of Oatey Thread Cutting Oil. I said to myself, "Self, there ain't much Tap Magic Oil left in that can you 'borrowed' from work 10 years ago. You should buy that bottle of cutting oil cuz you have a lathe now."

So I did.

This stuff?

That's pretty neat, it comes in an old looking can, kinda goes with having an old lathe...
