And I (we) want to see a lot of pics and a thread on the Corvair.
Man, when I was shopping with my Dad for my first car, we came across a 64 Spyder at a used car lot. Pearl white paint with a green tint, pin stripes, green interior, four speed. I don't recall if it had a turbo or not, but I do know that it didn't have a title and we walked away. Ended up with a land yacht Mercury Marauder. If I'd only known then what I knew now...

That Corvair looks pretty sharp. They always intrigued me with their rear engine and sleek lines.

I had a '63 Monza convertible, black/white top and red interior. It was a 3-speed manual, and would sometimes pop the fan belt off after a speed-shift from 1st to 2nd. I had to pull over, loosen the idler pulley bracket, pop the belt back in place and readjust the bracket.
I also put 6 cement blocks in the front trunk to make it more steerable on the road. I was always proud of the fact that the previous owner took the time to autograph the glove box door... |

Washing machine drain pump and hose for a nice front loading Samsung Washer.
But there is a bit of history... I bought the dryer from the previous owner last week, cheap. He was selling it because they got a matched pair. It ran and worked fine for all outward appearances, but I installed a refresh kit in the dryer to add some years to it (rollers, idler pulley, belt). Good thing, because the idler pulley and two of the rollers were not spinning freely. I also blew out the dust and lint outside and cleaned it up. The heating elements look like new. The whole dryer looks new after cleanup. This thing should last. That dryer has features, takes water input for steam and anti-wrinkle cycles. Fancy 7.5 cubic foot dryer. It is installed in the basement and already done some work. It's HE Back to the washer... I went back for the washer because he had it sitting outside when I picked up the dryer. It looked like it could need major surgery and he said something about plastic crumbs showing up in the clothes. He invited me to take it at the time, but I was lazy. It was worth going back for: I brought it home (heavy with water! CLUE there) and connected from the garden hose through a Y to both hot and cold. I guess modern washers things throw an error if they don't sense pressure on these circuits I left the drain hose on the driveway and ran a quick wash (empty, no detergent) to observe, and had a can of my favorite beverage while I watched. Everything was fine, until it tried to pump out the wash water. A short gush then nothing. I could hear the water in there sloshing as the drum rotated and the pump sounded like it was working hard. It paused, and then tried again maybe 15 times before it advanced to spin cycle. So I got in there and found the filter totally plugged up and damage to the impellers. I totally cleaned out the internal circuits. It is ready for the new pump. The pump will be here in minutes, a few stops away. Oh, and while I was testing, I discovered a leak in the drain hose. That explains the new drain hose I just bought at Home Depot. I am having a brat and my favorite beverage while I wait

The new pump bailed the drum in seconds with the new pump, cleaned out hoses and pump housing... Gusher! The new Home Depot drain hose is larger diameter with shorter ribs. I think it flows easier. "New" washer ready for install

I didn't buy nothin'. Probly some gas later. Bought a truck a couple weeks ago and I'm still coming to terms with that and it's thirst. Looking for warmer days to offset the thirst with the Hawk's lack there of. I do love the truck, but dang.

bought a 27MM socket today so I can get the front sprocket off the KLR. I'm changing it out for a 16 tooth for higher speed use when commuting to work.

Two stainless steel 16mm M6-1.0 bolts and lock washers to mount a couple of cargo net hangers for an elastic net across the back hatch of my wife's CX-5. She's happy

Ordered a new seat cushion and cover kit I don't actually NEED. All that Arizona Templar guy's fault. He says it's cushy.

Picked up another cordless power tool and battery. HF has a deal on Bauer cordless tools. If you buy the 3ah battery, you have a pick of a free tool. I also had a 15% off any one item so I got the battery which sells for $59.99 and 7 1/4" brushless circular saw that sells for $89.99 for under $60. Not that i needed the saw, but hay, i couldn't pass that deal up. lol
