I bought into the idea that the weatherman was wrong about his forecast for rain so I went riding anyway.

I got wet.

Over the weekend i picked up a new fuel pump for the Nissan and ordered a new mass air flow sensor for it as well as renewed its plate this morning. I thought my issue with the car was related to the pump but it turns out its looking like both the pump and MAF were the issue.

Airline tickets so Mrs.C and I can go see our oldest granddaughter in her school musical in November. Mrs.C was in typical form, turning a 5 minute process into a 30 minute ordeal. Can't wait to see what she does with rental car and hotel reservations.

I haven't been in an aluminum tube since June and I haven't missed it.

About $1100 on Ural parts. Finally.

And nineteen bucks on a bottle of Nicaraguan rum. I drank a bit of the stuff in southern Mexico. I told the Mexican Moron that it was for his personal safety.

150meters (3 rolls) of goat fencing and 2 dwarf Nigerian goats...Not much change from $1600AUD

Spent the last 2 weeks preparing the back unproductive corner of the property clearing trees getting firewood and mulch along fence lines and getting a workout digging 2ft deep post holes...

trying to get it done before the Australian summer heat makes doing much unbearable.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised in Costco. So for the low, low price of just $699, I picked up a full-sized arcade with 14 games. It has Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus, Pacmania, Pac-Land, Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Rolling Thunder, Galaga, Galaxian, DigDug, DigDug II, Galaga 88, Mappy and Rompers. To be honest, I bought the whole thing just for Rolling Thunder. I used to blow through an entire roll of quarters playing that game at the local bowling alley when I was a kid. Dig Dug is another game I really like. It took about an hour to assemble, and overall it's been a huge hit!

Yesterday I bought an aftermarket seat for my Ninja. It's an offbrand who knows who actually made it or where it is coming from but it looks like it has 5 times more padding than the stock seat. And if it isn't more comfy than stock then I only wasted $95.

Been wanting/needing a new Santoku onife for the kitchen, and wasnt impressed with any of the offerings from the local big box stores, so i took a gamble on a VG10 damascus knife from Temu.... did not dissapoint... real damascus, not laser etching, and the thing is sharp enough to split hairs out of the box.... not to mention the epic resin/burl handle.... and it arrived in 8 days...

Not as big of a fan of apple juice ferments but if you could get your hands on some frozen Welch's grape juice concentrate made from 100% concord grapes then I guarantee you a mighty decent tasting table wine.

Just a 50 year old engine

Picked up an engine out of a '73 CB500 - and a frame, SN's don't match, and no title of course - that the guy says is free and has compression, etc. He's done a couple of bikes already that I've seen, and had these as part of a maybe project, and then decided... nope. My '73 CL450 barn find came with a frozen engine that's now-free and await my time and effort to rebuild the top end (2023 has suuuuucked) but this might make things mo bettah in a lot of ways. Goal is just to save them all, and get this CL450 back on the road, and if it means starting with a non-matching CB500 motor... that's fine with me. If I can also then get the original CL450 motor with matching numbers rebuilt as I have time... great. Also included were... three carbs, a wiring harness, some odd doodads. We all know how these projects are.
