I dropped $130 on a brand spanking new Brooks B17 saddle.

Because I found this when I stopped for lunch.

I bought a new set of tire spoons, a CO2 inflator, and a USB power port for the KPX. Oh and I rode the bike up to Batesburg and bought myself 2 cans of fire roasted tomatoes for my Chilli, a Mountain Dew, 2 cans of Snus, and a can of chain lube. I think that's all I bought today.

Had my KPR 200 out for a ride today and a turkey buzzard run across the road in front of me. Close enough to my front wheel that, for a moment anyway, I thought I was gonna......... buy it.

Looks like the Brooks saddle hasn't changed since the 1970s when I had one just like it on my road bike. I learned not to let the saddle get wet or the leather stretches terribly.

$700 worth of parts for the "cheap" Nissan Xterra. Complete timing chain set (primaries and secondaries), Oil Pump, Water Pump, Gasket Set, and Shocks and Struts. It's also going to need brakes when I do all the other work, but I'll source those from the local parts house. There's 227,xxx miles on it, but it runs great (forgiving all the timing noise) and so the Missus and I decided to spring for the major service it needs to make sure it runs well for a very long time.

Chewing tobacco in tiny packages. Look like miniature dirty tampons.

Dragged into Hobby Lobby I saw one of those Cricut machines on clearance. Popped for one. I've had my on them for years. Wanting to do some replacement stickers for my Templar X put me over the edge. Big learning curve on vector graphics but I've got a couple to try. I'll put the results in the Templar X thread.

Wife got tickled once she realized what I actually had. She's already lining up girly projects for me to do as she has about zero talent for doing such things. "Can you make me this? Oooooo! How about this?" (Dammit)

I feel your pain.

I bought one for the shop years ago to make equipment stencils. The wimmen in the office found out I had it and started asking for girly graphics. I just said no. I remember boxing it up to ship it to Beaufort but it never got there.

New carb for the tiller. I shopped around a bit for it. Prices ranged from $17 to $75.

Also bought a new dust shield for the front wheel of the Ural. $5 shipped.

A whole bunch of stuff. Weed & Feed, tow behind spreader, NY Strips, mild jalapeño cheddar beef sticks, bacon, veggie seeds.

Umm, those MILD jalapeño cheddar beef sticks…mild, my ass. My eyes are still leaking a half hour later. I may need to go back to Yucatán and be retrained.

I had twenty bucks burning a hole in my pocket.

June of 1979 Coleman 426D 3 burner stove. It came with a full tank of fuel, a box of kitchen matches,...and a propane bottle. The stove belonged to the seller's Dad and he had no idea how to use the stove. He bought the bottle for the stove but couldn't figure out how to hook it up. He gave me the bottle after I explained how it worked.

Apparently not used since 85. I just pumped up the fuel tank and lit one of the kitchen matches. It lit right up. Like a Coleman should.

I feel like I should have worn a mask.

Set up a deal to pick up a 2009 Nissan Sentra for $300. Basically as far as i understood things it got some cosmetic damage on the roof and passenger door and got parked in favor of buying a newer car. Basically picking it up for scrap price after selling my Previa for basically double what im buying this for. Its a low enough purchase price that even working it for one month it will pay itself off rapidly.

It had systems failing all over the place such as the oil leveling system, Parts getting difficult to find such as the wipers. Electrical gremlins such as the passenger window and in short i just wanted the damn thing out of my life as it held too many bad memories for me.
