I bought another Dong Fang DF250RTG as I missed the previously owned one that I sold several years ago.

It is a birthday present for me from me. LOL

Some new airbrush paints to add some camo colors to the new fender on the Ural. Also found a 00 oxy torch tip at ReStore for $2.

Lastly, and I didn't buy this, a box was sitting on our front step when we got back from errands this afternoon. Inside the box was a bottle of The Balvenie 14 year old single malt. It was a thank you from a customer for walking him through some repairs on his antique tie tamper.

A kayak. Wal-Mart Angler 10 sit-on-top, made by Sun Dolphin, $355 OTD. Got a few inexpensive things to upgrade/add, get a good paddle and a floaty vest, then off to the lake when it warms up a bit.

Note cat at far end, again asking WTH is he up to now?

Very close. 1973 CL450 that’s been sitting in a barn since 1979.
Needs some work, obviously. But this is a great project to be off and running with.
Oh - I guess I didn’t mention…
… first of the month I bought a ‘23 RE Scram, my summer running in the hills and high altitude bike. Went round and round and round on the decision, settled on the Scram. Very pleased so far with it.

A hotel room. The rental generator went out on the platform. We have to de-man to essential personnel until the new generator gets here. Not bad for my 3rd hitch out here, and first hitch were I'm the sole mechanic. lol.

Nice find on the CL! The 450 motors are very cool. DOHC and tortion valves. I've been trying to find a nice CL but man....they are getting harder and harder to run across, especially with everyone butchering them up to make cafe racers.

Nice choice on the Scram! Please start a new thread on it in "other brands". I'm SERIOUSLY looking at an INT650, at the moment.

An interesting addition to a PowerProbe tool. With it I should be able to cycle PWM fuel pumps, transmission solenoids, stuff like that. We'll see.

Looking like I need an alternator. Flew out to the platform this morning, but had to change out the coil packs on the lexus yesterday. After starting the car to make sure the coils were good, it turned the car off to clear codes, only to try and start the car, and find the battery dead. Had to get a jump from someone, just to see my volt meter was at 9 volts, and dropping. I guess the alternator went out sometime during the week, and I didn't notice. Gotta get a new alternator shipped to the heliport, so it's waiting on me when I fly back in for the end of my hitch. Then, fix the damn thing in the parking lot. lol.

New Crucial MX500 SSD and SATA cable for the long in the tooth and problematic Dell laptop. Should be here Saturday but we are looking at up 7" of snow tomorrow, so not holding my breath.

Went to REI to check out their kayak paddles. After looking at the main grouping and talking about them with one of the sales guys, he then took me over to the returns area, where they have items very lightly used (or not at all) and returned for whatever reason. Ended up with a decent Bending Branches paddle, clearly brand new, for $54 vs normally $90. Also picked up a pair of $145 Merrell hiking boots for $57. Tiniest amount of dirt, and no wear, on the bottom. Totally stoked!

Congrats on the CL! I used to have a CL450 and a CB450 back in Phoenix. Dragged them all the way back to Georgia just to get super frustrated about parts availability, parts pricing, and my own schedule and sell them both as a set. I had extra engines, buckets full of parts, the works. One of the best places I found to get spares was Common Motor Collective: https://www.common-motor.com/

Another good resource is CSM. They have really good parts breakdowns and reasonable prices on New-Old Stock:
https://www.cmsnl.com/

Best of luck with the project!
