2lz the seals they used are "Parts Unlimited FS-023 Pro Fork Seals: 41x54x11".
Right now I'm at 23,000 ish miles...probably closer to 20k as the stock odometer was a bit unreliable. It has been sitting for most of this year but I plan to make up for it this summer. Dan that helps make sense of thisngs.... when I replaced the clutch cable I removed the clutch arm and neglected to mark the location it was in originally. I will be sure to note that next time.

Carb Jets for SSR 250XF
Culcune, where can I purchase carb jets for a new 250XF motorcycle?
Or do I not need to replace the carb jets in the new 250XF motorcycles? Did Shandong Pioneer get their new carb jets that were certified to increase the performance of the new bikes? Or do buyers of the New 250XF bikes need to purchase and replace the jets to improve performance and power for the 250XF? Thanks, 1CW Quote:

Member dh is our resident XF250 guru. Actually, he has a store physically near him that deals in SSR (an actual coincidence because I know the store he bought his bike from is about 75 miles away). I am not sure if he mentioned the shop somewhere in this thread. I did start this thread a while ago in the interest of the XF250, but I do not own one, unfortunately.

For a repair manual you would want to find a Haynes #5750.

XF250:$3000 or TT250:$2600
I was thinking about purchasing a TT250 which would be about $2600
After reading about the XF250 and build quality etc it seems like the XF would make more sense for only $400 additional from a quality standpoint I would use the bike about 70% street 30% trails... Just curious..good idea? |

I'd just spend a little more here: https://gpxmoto.com ... Even better quality.

Hey guys. I now have the privilege of posting in this thread. Just picked up my XF250 today. It's a leftover 2018 that I paid $2650 for.

That's an outstanding price.. and you have a great bike for your riding test for that license. Glad to hear you are enjoying it so far.
Get some fresh oil in there if you haven't already, and bed If you need any tutorials maintenance, there is a series of tutorials for the tu250x. It should run a bit lean from the factory, so adjusting the idle mixture and removing the air injection pump will help. Check the brake rotors for contamination and clean them up before bedding. Mine came with a greasy front brake rotors and they always sucked until I replaced them and did this.... Bedding In Brake Rotors Perform 3-4 medium stops from 45mph. ... Make 8-10 aggressive stops from 60mph down to 15mph. ...

I'll do the bedding procedure once I'm able to get the bike on the road. Also where is the idle mixture screw? I can't see it on the carb. I'm guessing it is hidden and I need to drill a plug to get to it?

I’ve got the HaynesRepair Manual
I got the Haynes Manual #5750 for the SSR 250XF about 10 years ago, but I still haven’t got around to purchasing the 250XF.
One of these days I’ll finally find one to purchase. |
