WeldnGrind,
Look up an unmolested early 30's ford and see if that kinda looks like it to you. That would be my guess, but then again there are so many cars from that era that I've never even heard of. Cool pic, and good luck searching. |

Thanks Lego.
I'm a big fan of Fords of that era, and I haven't found one that matches. Just when I see a cowl that looks sorta close, I notice the suicide door, etc. I'm familiar with the design differences between the early and late Model A's, and I know this car isn't a '32 (everything changed after that). I'm stumped.

Well, shoot. I wish the car show was here. Right behind my house they have a car show every month that draws about a 100/200 cars and I bet one of the older guys would know what it is.....unfortunatly the car show is only in the summer months. Welp, good luck and when you find out what it is, let us know. Take care....

On our bike trip a few years ago when we went out and looked at the house I bought half way across the country (and sold, instead of moving to). Our bikes are the 3 on this end, the others were just there when we showed up. Quite busy for them I imagine.

It's sort of a joke. Dog River is the ficticious town that the Canadian television program Corner Gas was set in. The actual town is called Rouleau, and they don't close.
The front door pictured above was an occasional set on the show. Look for Corner Gas on Youtube. It's lots of fun.

My Dad just sent this to me.
He wrote. Back in June 1961..... ...........I left the home Nov 27th for US ARMY basic training; and advanced training; and after being gone for 6 months, I returned home for a visit. Shari was a Junior in high school. The car was my first car, 1956 Ford. While I was gone in the Army; my father Gus did some drag racing with this car. Many people did not no this car could out run many patrol cars.....I bought an engine out of a 1959 Iowa High Patrol car that was in the Sanborn IA salvage yard. My friend and I skipped school one day, went an purchase the engine. And skipped another day to do the engine swap. This car also was entered in the Sioux City IA drag racing.....And it woul outrun many Chevs. I sold the car at Ft Bliss..... to someone who wanted it for racing on a race track......the first he race.....he totaled it.
