This was from last night, I made a deal on a hardtop for the MGB to essentially turn it into a Notchback style coupe when it is on. This is not the exact top i got but its the same model and shows what the car will look like with it fitted.

I also hammered out some more details on the arrangement to buy this in the spring..

Mrs. C and I spent a whack o' dollars today.
Gutter screens for the garage because the neighbor and I cleared out all the dead branches on the pines between our properties. Finally able to see that side of the garage. It took me two hours to clean the pine needles and vegetation out of the gutters
Groceries because we need to eat.
New bicycle helmet for me because, every three to five years.
Right angle drill because it's better to have and not need than to need and not have. And I needed one a month ago.
Two pairs of pants because I have several pairs that Goodwill won't even take.
Two new compact camp chairs.
Mrs. C got some new hoodies because summer is winding down. See Goodwill statement above.
Brake pads and caliper repair kits for the Jeep. I suggested getting rid of the Jeep because it's started to nickle/dime us but Mrs. C won't hear of it. I mentioned the Audi because it was doing the same thing when we got rid of it but she came back with the Audi was quarter/half dollaring us. I couldn't argue with that.

Not what I was looking for but I did pick up an old Garmin Nuvi 52LM for $5 at a barn sale today. Best thing, besides being five bucks, is that it works. I connected it to both my Garmin Express and Garmin Base Camp accounts and was able to both register and get it updated. I was also able to upload all the .gpx files for the upcoming TWAT ride.

What was really pleasing was that refurbished 52LM units are going for $85 on Amazon. I think I done good.

^ had one of those since new, also have a RAM mount for it for two wheeled shenanigans. Doesn't see much use these days but still works.

Latest purchase, a 2000 Mercedes-Benz C200 CDI Esprit.

Possibly, a new engine or head for the eff Juan fiddy. After pulling the turbo off, I found what looks to be a crack in the "liquid cooled exhaust manifold", which is basically the head, that's causing my coolant getting into the exhaust. This was something I was worried about happening with I bought the 2.7 Ecoboost truck, and I'm mad it happened 5 years and 181,000 miles later. Gotta call ford, and see what happens from here.

I have a 50LM and a 57LM besides this 52 now. The 50 is left over from employment and for my Jeep. I bought it for the shop before we had smartphones. After the T-Mobile debacle, I dug it out and started using it again.
The 57 resides in the Rusty Chevrolet. The 52 is for the bikes. Mrs. C's Renegade has Sat/Nav.

There was a time when I hated having a gps in a vehicle because I found them distracting and not all that reliable. Jason lived a few miles from me and couldn't find my place with his gps.

I have to ask, is the Esprit a van?

Heh well yes and no. It's an STW but the rear seats have been removed so it's registered as a two seater van. Classic/Esprit/Elegance are the three option packs that were sold of which the Esprit has faux carbon fiber interior panels instead of the horrible wood veneer ones as well as lower stiffer suspension and a few other things like sportier rims.

An impulse buy. Found a used, but decent Dunlop 100/90-19 knobby and tube at Restore for $15. I thought the Kenda was aggressive! I may do nothing but stare at it or I may swap it with the side car tire and move that one to the front.

New bed. Chuh-CHING! Poor Mrs. 2LZ's back just couldn't deal with the 17 year old one we sleep on anymore. The mattress topper bought us about three more years out of the deal but, it's time.

The Missus and I got a Purple mattress a couple months back. Really made an unbelievable difference! We really like it. What kind of mattress did you cats get?
