I got a new roller throttle assembly and installed it today on the Bashan Storm. $16. Worth it!

I also removed the cable and gave it a drenching with silicon lube. The thing is so easy to twist and returns smoothly now. Once into it, I adjusted the chain and the levers/controls a little too. I will wait for the cool morning (80s ) for the test drive

EDIT! Test ride revealed easier throttle control. Definitely less friction!

A driveshaft for Mrs. 2LZ 2015 Challenger. The carrier bearings take a s--t and you can't just replace the bearing 2015 and up. Grrrrrr......

Going to look at a very used Tao Tao 110 for the grandkids later this afternoon.

Well, it followed me home. Seller was asking $200. I offered $180. He said I was the fifth guy to call about it and the only one that showed up, so I could have it for $150.

In rough shape but looks worse than it is. Needs a starter, seat, and battery to start with. I was hoping the starter just needed some love and contact cleaner but the armature is shorted.

This will allow me to expand mileage between fuel stops. An extra 5 gallons of gas goes a long way.

Ya know, that was a ‘thing’ with Ultramarathon bicyclists* in the eighties that were shooting for records. I was passing a guy and mentioned that it looked like his water bottle was leaking as his pedal was dripping. Bad. It wasn’t water.

*Not me. I preferred to water the roadside vegetation. It was an excuse to get my butt off the saddle for a couple of minutes.

Welp, I`m a Chinarider again... Remember the Longjia Grido scooter I was asking advice on in the other thread? I talked my neighbor out of tuning it as it wouldn`t have made much sense. Today he totally surprised me by GIVING it to me so what I bought today was an insurance and an online transfer of ownership for it
