Both of my Zongshen bikes came equipped with steel rims. They are heavier than aluminum rims, but they are still nice rims.

you can get aluminum rims for under 100$ each and lace them on.
the steel should be much more resistant to bending though.

You'd think so, but I've had the opposite experience, both with motorcycles and with BMX bikes (about 30 years ago). Aluminum rims tend to have more spring in them, whereas steel rims just bend.

Yep, aluminum rocks. Lighter and more rigid. I was actually shocked when I bought Q and saw all the awesome aluminum work all over it. Not a biggy. I was just wondering when I was looking at the pics after I lobbed the deposit. I really like the way CSC has blacked everything out though. Hoping that the frame is matte finish like they are saying.

That's a fair point.
When Spud and I rode from Spudland to Bonneville, Son of Weldangrind joined us on my Lifanda. He hit a big rut, broke a bunch of spokes and turned the front rim into a taco. He had to ride the last 30 miles like that. I was shocked when I cut the remaining spokes out, and the rim sprung back into shape! I bought some new spokes and laced it back up. It's still in use on Lifanda.

Geez....could be months away and I ordered the first mod for the TT 250 today. The universal Acerbis Uniko hand guards in white with black lettering that Mrs 2LZ picked out. I have them on Q and the X moto and they've been good so far. No fading.
I can't wait to dive into pipes, slip-on muffler options, carb work (Mikuni VM 26) , etc..etc...to see what fits. Chomping at the bit and I don't think they've even landed on shore yet. This is going to be a long wait.........

waiting to see arrival conditions before buying anything, but handguards are likely to be my first upgrade.

I'm new to the forum and I'm super excited to announce that CSC became $1,000 richer this evening and I'm super pumped for the TT250 (White). Has anyone thought about exhaust/muffler mods to free up the exhaust for those of us not in CA?

I really wish CSC would post some more photos and some more videos to keep us busy until these puppies arrive on American soil. Am I the only one that has watched the 2 main videos multiple times? Haha
