I was a kid during the era of the Schwinn Stingrays and Krates. Nobody in my little town had one. I have been looking at this Banana bike on craigslist as a way to relive some of my childhood. It has a 24" rear so it isnt too small to ride. It also has a console shifter.
1969 "RARE" CYCOVATOR banana seat muscle bike - $300 (San Leon)
I have a very RARE 1969 CYCOVATOR muscle bike for sale. There's a chance you have never seen one and probably wont ever again.
This bike has not been cleaned up, it was pulled from the barn like it sits. I didn't want to even wash the dirt off of it. It is rusty and crusty but it is still the coolest bike in the world. It is all original, nothing has been changed from what I can see. This bike screams the groovy era, with a 24" rear wheel, 5 speed gears with console shifter, sissy bar, red line tires and even a headlight. The original seat too. Like I said it probably has 25 years of dust on it so don't think your coming to look at a restored bike. It would even be cool to ride it like it is, you would be the talk of the bike shows or swap meet on this cycodelic cruzer. The price is firm, you will see 20 of them high priced Schwinn's peelers at the show, but you wont see one of these. If interested call or text

If I buy it, my wife will want one too, so I must plan accordingly.

I might order one of these. I could get some road work done while doing CAD.

I saw this invention for wet weather bicycle riding on NewAtlas.
It doesn't look as cool as a velomobile, but it doesn't cost near as much, either.

Finally brought home that Raleigh I mentioned many months ago. Planets were in alignment, so today was the day. I also seemed to have picked the hottest day of the year to do it. Mid nineties and humid. BTW, that's a sparkling water Mrs. C is drinking, not a beer.

Can't pin down a year but mid seventies based on the decals. Friend N8 built it from a pile of parts, with some assistance from me. It's the less common 23" frame which will fit me a bit better. Has plenty of 'patina' aka, rust. Headset and bb need some adjustment, but nothing major. Surprisingly, it is shod with very old cotton belted tires. Those will be changed out this week for a pair of Semperit tires I have hanging in the garage.

Scored this today.
https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/b...375027595.html

Absolutely nothing special about it, but the seller is a really nice guy I used to ride and race with. I only beat him once and that was because he flatted. Haven't seen him in almost five years.
Was about 90% sure it was his ad just based on how the bike was staged on the tree, so I sent him a cryptic question about the bike with a few veiled remarks about fixed gear bike shenanigans that happened in Traverse City, MI over ten years ago. He knew right away it was me.

Wow. The back wheel alone was worth the asking price. You got a lugged frame with good paint, too.

Thumbs Up Retro is in!

Wow! That’s cool! I like the green paint. I had a 3 speed from Sears back in the mid 70s. It was green too! I would love to have that bike today!

Have a great day!
