UPDATE Still trying to figure the Gy-5 tank out . I cut the rear gy-2 tank mount off ( easy enough to Fabricate if it doesn't work out ) Had to go there to get to the next problem . Seat shape against the tank won't work . I could flatten the curve on the OE seat ( not as easily reversed ) Or find a Gy-5 seat to try . I think I'd like the gy-5 seat if i could work it out , Plan to move the battery under the seat . The original seat bolts down ,making it harder to get to . It appears that gy 5 seat uses a release latch and the seat pops right off .

That's a good idea as long as the seat latch is well secured to the seat. Several of us with Gio Beast atv's have had trouble with the front bracket or the rear latch coming off of the plastic. If you were at all concerned about the integrity, I would recommend removing the screws that hold the latch to the plastic, and reinstalling them with some form of adhesive.

The GY5 seat does use a latch system.
