Interesting, so the hawk with a 17/42 has the same gear ratio as the Xpect with a 17/37.

I feel like for the sub 250cc bikes your ratio should be 1k rpm per 10mph for street riding. Works on a 125, 150, and 250.
Sadly, that's what CFMoto did with their 450s, which makes no sense on such a big bike to be revving at 5k rpm at 50mph.

For, me personally I would find the 42/17 just a hair high, especially since my Hawk is back to a stock motor. I weigh too much, and I think taking off from a dead stop on a hill, would be the biggest issue. It is probably not as bad on the roads, and the higher gearing makes 4th fast enough to be useful on the hills of the main roads, when needed.
