Thanks, Yeah I understand the whole new tank thing I was considering making a flat ring and epoxying it to the fill neck to give it a flatter surface for the cap to seal against.

I just wanted to report back about the Honda cap. After about 10 fill ups I have not had any leaks. I fill my tank as full as any motorcycle tank I've had previous and it works perfectly with no leaks, I am calling it a fix!

I am going to get one of the Honda caps. My Brozz cap leaks and Friday I dropped the cap and the key cover broke right off.

Well, since I'm a cheap ass and didn't want to fork out the $30-40 for the OE Honda cap I got a replacement off fleabay for $11. Can't comment on how well it works because it's been pouring all day and is I the 40's. I can tell you it is a good bit shorter so it should be just as effective as cutting the stock one. Hopefully I can get a few miles tomorrow and see if it works better.

Is the OEM Honda Gas Cap the same size as the Ebay knockoffs?
My Brozz cap leaks even when parked. Pressure in the tank I guess. I come out and see fuel around the recessed part of the tank.

Spins.....I went with the Honda OEM as soon as I got my bike,...has never leaked,...it is an IDENTICAL twin of the original cap (except of course for the quality,..where it is all Honda there..)

I've put a few hundred miles on the bike with this cap, no issues. There was worry about possible vapor lock but I have not had an issue.

I have the honda cap, but honestly I wouldn't have an issue using that smaller one you used either. Both are effective, and aside from it being smaller looking, function is what matters in the end. I only bought the Honda cap because I found one for $25.

I found the Honda for $43 shipped. But was considering upgrading to the 20 model fuel tank if it’s not too expensive. Stock 18’ tank is under $60 bucks plus shipping. So I was weighing my options.
